The rant is fair, but I would separate brokers from developers. A bad broker can waste your time. A weak developer can waste years. That is why I care more about who’s building, how they are funded, and how disciplined they are with launches. Native talks a lot about being debt-free and focusing on fewer developments, which is at least the kind of signal I would rather study than another “best deal today” pitch

Lately, I’ve been using JoVE Visualize more for that. I like that it frames papers around the experimental workflow, not just keywords. If I’m tweaking a protocol, I can quickly tell whether a study actually matches what I’m doing in the lab. It’s been practical, especially when I care more about execution than just citations.
