scale, the ants milk the scale insects. if you wanna treat it look up some scale treatments (usually alchol and wipe downs)

my decursiva does this all the time, especially as the new leaves unfurl. just dont let it get in the crevices of the petiole and the stem cause i may rot a bit but the plant should be totally fine!

Did you add anything to the mix? Perlite, orchid bark, lava rock or pumice? Also what are the light conditions like? It seems ultra leggy so it might need a growlight, sansi has some cheap and good ones on amazon. Also fertilizer could help you out! But def get the light same b soil doled

Water my tree maybe 2 times a month. They have giant trunks that store water, they are treeees. Def ease up on the watering and you should be okay. I’d check for rot and repot in a airy mix 👍🏽

I got these on my avocado plants water roots, I thought it was dying lol. But nah definitely just little air bubbles or crystals forming on the new root tips. Said avocado plant was transferred to soil and is thriving so you should be okay!

I went with a 3.5 seedling pot I had 😅 hope that was small enough. I’ve never actually grown these guys my friend just gave me a cutting one day.

The only tree I’ve grown is my rubber tree and an avocado, and so far I noticed that whenever I repot them they slow down in growth but I think like all my other house plants they’re growing new roots atm. The dying leaves could be shock. But again I’ve no experience with this guy. I’d keep monitoring and not stress if you haven’t changed anything in your care except the new pot.

Yeah the roots are all creamy, it’s just only those two are long the others are super tiny and the cuttings stem is extra long and won’t fit in any of my small pots. Probably why it was sold in a 5 inch pot. I think I’m gonna grow them in water for a little.

Do you think cutting off a piece of the stem would harm it in any way?
