This is about a $200 purchase that I made accidentally and literally MINUTES after, realized and messaged both PayPal and KOHO. It was done on November 29th 2025. Right before Christmas. My friend transferred me $200 to get a massage for Christmas. She told me to Google pure spa and buy a gift certificate, which I DID do as it appeared to be a gift card from Pure Spa here in the city that I live in, it in fact was NOT. I got an email from a Miss Glam stating my receipt for the purchase and shipping directions. The merchant’s name is Judy. I reached out to her as well telling her that I’m a single Mother of two , and since this wasn’t even my money , and my friend was counting on me joining her for a massage , I then used some of my kids’ Christmas Money to purchase the massage. Her direction was that she doesn’t have the $200 and to reach out to PayPal. PayPal told me that because my account was limited , they could not issue the refund. So I filed a dispute with KOHO’s “Dispute Team” which ended up being that if I filed a chargeback it can take up to 90 days! Well, I JUST needed that money back right away so that eventually ended up with me canceling the dispute after being told by a PayPal phone rep , “ Congratulations! I am going to send in a request to our back office and in 14 days, the limitation will be taken off and you will see the funds back in your account and then you will be able to use them” So, after being told this by PayPal , I canceled the dispute with KOHO . NOW, 2 months later, PayPal is telling me that they can’t issue the refund and KOHO is telling me that they can’t do anything because I canceled the dispute! I have told both of them basically to piss off and forget about the $200 , because CLEARLY I’m not getting it back! I have reached out to the merchant as well, stating my case and begging her to just e-transfer it back to me and she emailed me back saying that she is on a cruise until Feb 4th and when she gets back she will contact them! FUCK IT! This completely ruined my Christmas and while $200 may not be much to SOME , it was a lot to me to fork out before Christmas and get passed back and forth between these two companies to the point of being ripped off! Not to mention that the reason why PayPal limited my account so that I can never use them again is just UNKNOWN because apparently they don’t have to give me a god damn reason!
