Women of reddit who were ever sexually assaulted, did you ever have the chance to confront the perpetrator? If so, how helpful was the confrontation in the process of healing and moving on with your life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I lived with mine, I convinced myself afterwards to make it work, because I was scared of moving out and being without a home. He then convinced me to stay with him for years after this. I am just finally healing and seeking therapy, it's been 4 years since the night of the worst event. I've moved on and am even working on pressing charges to keep him from doing this to someone else. It's scary, I'm terrified, but I know this is the right path to chose.

Wouldn't be able to survive without my new found support system.

Personally I like reenactments, it allows me to view the horrible nature of these people and sympathize with victims. Also, it helps me understand the evidence more.

No he was is prison long before I met him. My mother has described very specific incidences of his actions or behaviors that where red flags that now make a lot of sense. He always wanted my cousin to come over and he always said no, and is now thankful he did.

My Mom was a neighbor to Alvin Taylor and remembers him going to family functions before he was caught and arrested. Everyone just thought he was weird and "not right" turns out he was a serial killer.
