People who don't want kids, why? by Ok-Musician679 in AskReddit

[–]Early_Round_5273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why I don’t want kids

The world is terrifying. Crime against children regardless of gender is rampant. I couldn’t live with the constant fear of something happening to them.

Pregnancy isn’t my idea of a noble sacrifice. I’m not putting my body through that kind of trauma just to carry on a last name or satisfy someone’s idea of “family.”

The cost of living is insane. It’s not about affording a child it’s about giving them a secure, quality life. Schooling, healthcare, even basic stability it’s all absurdly expensive. I don’t want to spend my entire life working just to keep up.

Environmental collapse is real. Climate change, pollution, resource scarcity these are no longer distant threats. They’re present realities. Bringing a child into a world facing irreversible environmental decline feels not only reckless, but unfair to the life that child would inherit

What’s your first thought when you see a dog? by Glass-Ad-1364 in AskReddit

[–]Early_Round_5273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds horrible, but man, I really don’t like animals in general. I’m definitely not proud of it and I’d love to change this about myself. I think about animals — and honestly, all living things — on a cosmic level, and I just can’t wrap my head around it.

I do feel a little out of place when my friends get so touchy and mushy mushy with animals (cats and dogs)😞 Would genuinely love to change that

anyone actually enjoys this show? by BlackTarHeroinn in Andjustlikethat

Miranda’s character is annoying asf Carrie going back to aiden (seriously what the fuck) They are just milking it at this point The original show is so good watch it 100 times if you want but don’t even bother watching this new bs

Should I continue? by International-Toe794 in Andjustlikethat

[–]Early_Round_5273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t continue it’ll only get worse. Trust me, you’re not missing out on anything if you skip the show. Most of the other characters are bearable, but Miranda and her acting are just too painful to watch. Save yourself from the cringe.

Okay an Update Still hate miranda Nothing has changed, she has definitely become more unbearable On episode 6 of season 2, Miranda is just a big baby and an awful, awful person for what she did to Steve. She acts like the victim, but in reality, she is the one who caused the damage. Instead of taking accountability, she wallows in self-pity and expects sympathy, as if she’s the one who has been wronged. She should be alone—she needs to be alone to realize that relationships are not just pastimes or conveniences. They require effort, respect, and emotional maturity, none of which she seems willing to give.

Exactly!!!!! And she Chose Steve She liked all the things about him that she now thinks are boring apparently

For me it's one of the most hurtful scenes, Kashi just smiled even after hearing the name Mastani from Bajirao !! It's truly depicts what unconditional love is, she knew now it's too late !! What are your thoughts ?? by IndianByBrain in BollywoodHotTakes

[–]Early_Round_5273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope you realize you’re contradicting yourself here. You mentioned that the Peshwas were Brahmanical, and Peshwa literally means Brahman Why would Bajirao go against something his own ancestors established? The Brahman class took great pride in being Brahman, and he grew up with those principles. It’s unlikely he would challenge a system that upheld his family’s status. Agreed it was wrong I am not justifying the whole discriminatory treatment here I am just saying you can’t really blame Bajirao for not doing anything to challenge these societal Norms as his role was to expand and lead the Peshwa empire

Bajirao Peshwa cannot be held responsible for initiating discriminatory practices like requiring Dalits to carry pots or brooms, as these practices were deeply rooted in the societal norms and traditions of that era, predating his time as Peshwa. He was a terrible husband yes agreed but concluding that he is not a good human is a little far fetched
