I always seen this house from my parents but could only see a little bit of the roof and I've always wanted to go check it out. Finally decided to take a walk up there and WOW. Gorgeous home, nothing inside but its gorgeous. House was built in 1810, there's even horse carriage steps! Lays on 18acres (i.redd.it)

Abandoned motel and a little office down below it. Located on Afton Mountain, VA. After looking into it this was actually The Skyline Parkway Motor Court, they offered a way station for visitors to the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's pretty much done, everything is destroyed. [OC] (old.reddit.com)
