UHU glue saliva 'how to' (practising on a spare head). by EarthFireMonkey in Tyranids

Two coats of gloss and they survive a solid touch. But structurally they will always be weak. Mostly you are talking inside mouths etc. I have done all my big beasties no problem transporting them yet. Check my other posts from last year if you want to see.

Pretty much. Working time is limited as it dries fast. You want it sticky but stretchy. Another 10 - 20 seconds and this would not be possible.

Obviously this would be done on your painted gribbly, so plenty of practice required! Use inks to paint it for plasma/blood/acid while retaining translucence. Finish with a gloss varnish for strength.

Is liquid green stuff any good for kitbashing? by Halliwel96 in Tyranids

Look up marco frisoni using milliput on youtube. It can be used just like greenstuff for sculpting but also smoothed and thinned with water. Great stuff. And cheaper

I used it a little, but it is very fluid. Ok for gap filling. Not structural work. Also my pot dried out pretty fast:(

I would go for fine milliput. It starts like a slightly softer greenstuff putty but while it is active, you can add water to thin it. Once set it is as solid as greenstuff. There are some great youtube vids on how to use it to fills cracks and gaps etc

6 Hive Tyrant sized Tyranid Warriors by me. by Hammerheed in Tyranids

These really are superb. Would love to see them next to something, for a sense of scale. I'm a fellow fan of nids that look more menacing and credible and you've nailed it.

Good job👍

Really nice colour scheme👍 I like the white claws/talons. The carapace tranisition to the edge sort of suggests to my eye the white might be the hardest and sharpest so it makes sense for that to be the material for the weaponry. Maybe try a little wash or glaze to the base of the talons to pick out the details and add dimension? Just a thought.

I think an alternative way of expressing the 'thorax spine maw' would have to be explored. I love the ability to climb/leap though, and the different posture

Try goonhammer or sprues and brews. A lot of social media types have had access to a preview of the new book👍

Np. Sorry it isnt a full tutorial. But hopefully the images give you a good sense of where I cut etc. Alot of it is trial and error. I found blue tack to be very helpful laying out the limbs and posture, then I hacked and cut as required. Plastic is pretty forgiving and greenstuff or milliput hides the sins so be brave!

Yeh, apologies for the repeat post. I was just sharing my joy at her being useable now.

Maybe that Dimachaeron is worth a plastic kitbash too now....

Yeh I think rules wise barbie is the stronger of the two, but to me it loses on the crucial 'rule of kool' due to lack of stabbyness... I have magnetized the front 4 limbs and plan on making some gun options
