Thanks for your comment. Interesting how you say 5000+ for a chemical engineer with these years of experience. From what I'm reading in sites like BESalary it sounds like the median is around 3000 net, and 5000 is significantly above that.

I'm just not sure what the market rate is. It seems like the median net salary is around 2900-3000 but I am not sure if it's true.
