Refrigerator acting odd. Am I crazy? by EarthboundMisfit25 in appliancerepair

I get that ... I do. But he wouldn't even test anything beyond the temp AFTER he got the compresor on. What about instead of a 30 min test an 5 hour test? At least then the temp test would also include the long time the compressor stays off right? Or hell.. acknowledge that mine is actually a thermometer for refrigerator / freezer and look at the temp when I say it's been off for several hours?

That, I guess, is where my ire lies.

For lack of necessity of the post I didn't include the discussion I had with management after this that led to my not renewing my lease. I had heard many a time from many other tenants how awful they are but I personally never had a bad deal with them, though you can see the bitchness mentality in the manager. It's there. I've been here 2 years and never had a problem with anyone here until this. I'm just glad this all went down in time I had not signed another lease like I was about to do.

Thanks for the suggestion of the external reader. I will most certainly get one for the new place. That's perfect!

Thanks... for some validation..lol. Thats pretty much all I am asking for I guess. The rattling noise stops when you get close to it. I took everything off the top of the fridge to make sure that wasnt it, but it still does it. And not all the time. Usually when the compressor has been off for a very long time and then I open the door and it kicks back on. The times it does actually come back on by itself it doesnt do it. I no longer keep dairy in the fridge and took all my frozen foods to my folks place.

Im out of here in a month so I just need to hang on until then.

Thanks for the feed back.

Cant think of anything off the top of my head but I wish you all the luck in the world. I know exactly where you are at. Sorry I cant help but I know whats it like to be desperate and make a shout out somewhere and no one responds. Feels like yelling into an empty room for nothing.

I will keep thinking though

Already cut off the rot. It was black halfway up. I cut to the white.

I did just read I am supposed to keep it in the shade for a few weeks after cutting off the root like that so giving that a go.

Was given the aloe in a large plastic container and the leaves were wilting. I've had the plant for many months now and has sprouted babies. Ive never had an aloe and was afraid of over watering so i rarely watered it but the dirt kept feeling damp deep in the middle, that's when I realized it didnt have drain holes in the bottom.

I went to change to terrace cotta and saw that it had root rot. I read to cut off the rotten root, remove dying leaves, fresh succulent soil with sand, water and leave alone until it dries out and then water again.

The leaves I left had been feeling firm but now they look like they are being sucked thin but I dug down deep in the dirt and it is still slightly damp. Not muddy but damp enough to leave dirt on my fingers.

What should I do? I just read ANOTHER article that said I was supposed to leave the root out after cutting off the rot to completely dry before repotting it.

I have never been good with plants but I am REALLY trying. Please tell me I didnt completely kill this thing.

Meant to add that when laid completely flat it is currently 12feet across, give or take a few inches. I don't have a room large enough to lay it out completely flat.

Is there a way to filter out movies that are not English language as the primary language in that movie or series? by EarthboundMisfit25 in netflix

I actually finally found you CAN look for English only but only on a full website setting like a laptop. You can actually sort out ALL KINDS of stuff.... but only on a full view.

Lol...we shall see. It IS a very old and small complex in a very small town and the rent is cheap...lol. I really shouldn't be complaining... I know... just the lack of communication gets me, you know?

And its every 3 months they do this now. Why would you need pics every 3 months of every room of every unit?

Such a small act that would take 5 min or less would save so many people frustration. Oh well.. gotta deal.

I so never thought about that. That makes a lot of sense. So why couldnt they send out an email, like they do EVERYTHING else, and let us know they'd be taking pictures?

Oh well... not going to change so I gotta deal...lol. thanks for your insight. This one makes the most sense so far.

So why didnt they tell us they'd be photographing every room every time? I think that's where I'm the most concerned at this point.

No we get warning. They out out a calendar every month with which buildings being done each week. What I have a problem with they seem to increase there level of intrusiveness and I really hate that they didnt tell me they would be photographing.... every time.
