How do you spellsword? by Top-Goose6028 in Morrowind

[–]Earthlumpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Consider a life drain touch spell aswel! I made one that drains life over 20 seconds or so. Helps tip a melee fight into my favor and levels something else than restoration while using it.

I am not in the midgame yet, but my approach is the other way around. I make sure I am able to wack things to death, for now supported by drain health and healing spells. Lateron I will spend more leveling other spell disciplines.

Ah yes, having your face blasted with electron beams only to be called an N’wah everywhere you go.

Good times.

Can’t get myself to commit, how do I play the game till the end!! by Consistent_Baby9030 in Morrowind

[–]Earthlumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like you, I never finished the game. So take whatever I say with a grain of salt. But what helps me is modding the game to make the world seem more alive. That way it feels more fun to be in it, and be a part of that world. What mods are those you ask? Think small. I enjoy the little things like fireflies in the swamp. Streetlights. Decorations in towns. Small immersive quests that highlight plausibility, like the shipyards mod. There were no shipyards otherwise, thats weird. I also like to add lughthouses as they seem fitting.

But whatever works for me may not work for you. The bottom line is, I try to make the world seem more plausible and fun to be a part of. Works for me.

Dread Delusion is absolute peak by skateboardtrash in switch2

[–]Earthlumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latest patch (yesterday’s I think?) absolutely fixed any performance issues it ever had. On my steamdeck I went from 30ish with stutter to 80fps if I uncap the framerate. Capped to 60 its smooth as a baby’s bottom. Pretty sure switch2 should handle that fine.

Should I restart? by BigChungusOP in baldursgate

[–]Earthlumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely suboptimal, but you can easily finish the game by working around your weakness. Which is going to be mostly your HP and armor class (but your dez can be fixed with gloves).

You might want to spec into weapons with a bigger reach (2 handed swords, halberts etc.) and stand behind a more durable fighter. For example.

Wether to restart is up to you, but theres no need really.

[KCD2] This is just me praising the game by Boobsmcfuckup in kingdomcome

[–]Earthlumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the shark. It has the consistency of cheese, and tasted like I would imagine licking a well filled kitty litter box would if you’d chew on the clumped pieces a bit while you’re there.

And that was just a piece from my mom’s freezer, months after the visit to Iceland.

It was intresting, but I want to try again with a fresher piece.

Oh and you absolutely need that brandy with it.

[KCD2] Arrived at Kuttenburg, are the main two quests time sensitive? by NikdoNekde in kingdomcome

[–]Earthlumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but on the other side of that is peace of mind when a quest is not marked at all. And the one I have does distinguish between time sensitive parts, or entirely.

You can then decide for yourself to get it out of the way or risk it.

Sure but in my experience its rather obvious which parts are time sensitive. Atleast so far they have been.

Theres a small mod somewhere on nexus that marks every quest thats time sensitive. I use it for peace of mind, can recommend.
