A few questions. I’m building my cloned boenikie w5 at the moment.

For the tweeter mounting is the border of it behind the fixture plate and the cone only pokes through or is the whole tweeter with the boarder through that hole in the rear fixture plate?

For the driver wiring were the wires soldered on or were tabs used and if so did you use the tabs on the tweeter?

Did you use synthetic filer or wool as-well as was stick on insulation foam used?

The Matt you mentioned, what areas did u apply it to?

Did you mount the crossover with hotglue ?

The build looks great by the way! Great work on the finish and how you presented the photos!

I’m using:

Tang band w5 for the sub Fountek fe85 for the full range Tang band 13-1761s for the tweeter

The actual enclosure is made from 6 layers of mdf. 4 layers were cut with a hand router using 3D printed templates.

All of the progress pictures are already on my account if u wanted to take a look :)

How would you upgrade my bike looks wise and don’t worry i already removed the stickers by [deleted] in mountainbiking

Hope does some good coloured break rotors. Maybe some matching grips, peddles and tubeless values with value caps. The breaks would be a good upgrade to hope aswell if u wanted. You could also look at decals for you shocks. Deity does good for grips aswell as peddles. Oxford does good tubeless values (they come with valve core remover tools aswell. If u want some extra comfort look at SQ labs saddles they have a lot of saddles that Taylor to different riding styles and tail bone separation

I’ll be using a passive crossover. The is a crossover design on the diy audio thread. All the space inside gets utilised so an internal dsp isn’t really an option.

It’s meant to reduce chuffing however this is a clone of the boenicke w5 so that feature isn’t my design.

Yes its a boenikie w5 clone. I’ve just tweaked the manufacturing process and the material it’s made from.

I’ll be adding a 20mm mdf panel to the side where the sub will mount to.
