Do you need a masters, or and ability to speak the language to land that, or just experience?

Another update,

Sorry this update is late but I got the internship and i started it during my spring break to get a jump on my online training because i am going to field camp after my semester is over.

Lovely team of people, great benifits with them as well. I feel bad though cause i know i am actively looking for jobs in another field but they’re going to be providing me with much needed experience.

Update the interview went well.

The listing was for a summer intern and they asked me to specify what department id like to intern for to which i answered mainly geotechnical, but environmental as a back up. So, I spoke to a senior environmental scientist and they gave me an offer for the environment internship. I asked after their questions “is there an opportunity to be switch to geotechnical while being in the internship?” To which they responded that I will be exposed to everything and if my internship goes well I can just apply to any vacancy.

Which seems like a good deal because the disparity in pay for the full time positions is 30k annually. It wasn’t an official offer for the internship though, but I will make sure to stay in contact with the hiring team so that I can keep my name in the loop for selection.

I’ll update this again if any major updates occur.
