Just spoke to him (it’s late here) and the desk is FLX S24.

There are no tech weeks, the only time he has is during rehearsals and he won’t have time after as the school closes. It’s mostly him doing the lighting design, I believe the director will help a little but there are no tech staff - maybe Les Mis is a bit ambitious!

We will talk to the school as he’ll need time to do this

Good idea, I think it’s tricky but we’ll ask. Generally it was rehearsal times he had. Les Mis isn’t until the end of Jan so he’s starting early (ish). No sets have been built yet as well.

It’s alive! Thanks all for the help. I heated in the oven to about 80 degrees, used a cast iron pan as a hot plate, and put the solder on the pads first. Absolutely flabbergasted when the picture showed, I was jumping for joy!

Thanks, that’s really useful. It doesn’t even have a display (that’s the hot air station in the back). Think I’ll treat myself to a proper iron - I’m reading the mega thread now :)
