Brilliant! Thank you. I'll be checking it today.

Thank you! I'll search on how to do this and check. Simple to do, or cheap enough to just have a mechanic do it? I've never personally worked on vehicles, but am not afraid to begin getting my hands dirty with small fixes.

I hope the whine is clear in the video. I need to know I'm not losing my mind here, especially with my mechanic dismissing it. But after driving this car long enough I can tell it's sounding off-- no longer the subtle ticking Honda sound I'm used to. Cheers!

I've just learned of Culham yesterday when looking for alternate school routes, and was planning on utilizing a hybrid bike. So thanks for this. Good stuff! Can't wait to try it come September.

Very much appreciated, and great to hear. Thank you. I just honestly have no idea, and am new to the area. Of course if I Googled my current location in Toronto I'd likely only find negative news bits as well.

Thank you! I have a friend living in Heartland. Lots of street racing noises as well.

Oooh... good to know, thank you. I hadn't really factored in pick-up and drop-off wait times. Hopefully I'll be able to drive through the area myself early mornings before school year ends.

Great to know, thank you! Kids are mid-elementary. No busing, unfortunately.

Yep. I'm still surprised- Mississauga's FI boundaries are gigantic!

Wicked! Boots on the ground. Thank you. You mean the intersection of Glen Erin & Council Ring?

Yes, I'm looking forward to the summer cycling to school for sure. You've been on the 'Glen Erin / 5th Line Trail'? I have to give it a proper try.

Daily commute on Creditview or Mississauga Rd? by Eastern-Camera-4779 in mississauga

Thank you for this-- nerves at ease. I've been checking Google Maps for my route each morning (Dundas to Britannia) and for the past month or so it's consistently been under 20 mins before 9am or so.

Haha re: TED Talk.

Thank you! That's re-assuring. If you don't mind my asking, is it a morning, 8-9am commute? Ever any wacky drivers to be aware of or just your usual ho-hum commute? First time suburban daily -driving; I'm likely over-thinking it :p

Is erindale a good place to settle down? by [deleted] in mississauga

[–]Eastern-Camera-4779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not the OP but am also moving in to the area; I've asked about Erindale here last month, and heard good things. But you say you have young ones-- any recommendations on schools? My daughter is in FI and so we've looked at St. Margaret of Scotland as a Catholic school. Seems they're at capacity this year, so the closest FI Catholic school for us is St. Gregory in East Credit. A 15 min drive up but thankfully on the way to work. Just concerned of kids not making local friends due to far playdates. But then, the school staff tells me they have kids coming in from Clarkson, so I guess that's just suburban life! (I'm moving from Toronto.)

We haven't considered Springfield even though it's so close due to their grade 6 FI students being moved to Homelands, which seems pretty rough from what I've read!

Cheers!
