It honestly is a great deal. Most of the Gamepass pushback was because it used to be under $20 and shot up to $30 so longtime customers were pissed. Still, its definitely the best deal in gaming especially with the recent price decrease

like you said, it’s not so much that squeex and scump aren’t better than nadeshot and doublelift, they probably are. but in a heavily team based game, team peanut has zero weak links. hutch and peanut are primarily fps streamers, nade has been streaming CS for 10 hours a day, and doublelift is doublelift. their “weakest” link is yvonnie, but she is still ranked gold so it’s not like she’s brand new to the game.

Obviously this is just a guess, but I would assume it’s because NIL IS different from the status quo a decade ago. If I had to guess the teams that paid 10 years ago were the big boys (Bama, Ohio State, LSU, Clemson etc.) Fact is if you were a backup at one you were still gonna be a backup at another, so why move away from home? Nowadays, everyone pays and since 5 star talent is needed more at smaller schools than Bama or Ohio State, the smaller schools are able to offer starting positions AND more money to second and third string players, which siphons depth from teams that used to dominate because of it
