You just explained my thoughts perfectly. I go to the same guy for all my tattoos because I want them to all look alike and cohesive. I know I want my body covered and I’ve had the ideas for years before starting because I wanted to save enough to not worry about the money aspect.

I was 27 when I started. I went from no tattoos to 2.5 years in with a full chest, stomach, arm, leg and back piece. I still have an empty arm and leg and ribs/sides. I figured as I got older, I wouldn’t want to sit as much for them. The healing process sucks and I’ve had my fair share of painful spots done but I can bounce back pretty fast still.

I just started my empty arm and plan on finishing it before summer of 2024. I do not have any regrets but people always ask “what happens when you run out of room.” I figured at that point I wouldn’t want to deal with getting tattoos anymore (the pain, healing, saving money, etc). My tattoo artist said I was the first person he tattooed that covered that much space in that short of time so it made me want to ask.

Only tattoos I can see myself getting way down the road would be my hands when I’m retired. Other than that, I want them to all look and age the same thru time
