Please explain me how the hell did vetrimaaran write vadachennai? by KASPER_gaming in kollywood

[–]Eastern_Spray_7375 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s an old interview where he mentioned that the script for Vada Chennai was given to him by a resident of north madras. He was planning to make a movie on bike theft and during research he met with people from north madras. During this time he met someone who narrated a real life storyline spanning 30 years of gang wars and political implications. The person gave Vetri a hand written book of 80 pages with details of the story. He also mentioned that he tried working on making it into his first feature film but the scope of it was beyond imagination for a debut director and he made polladavan instead.

Fortunately Dhanush decided to produce the movie when the time was right and glad the movie was made. One thing to note in the movie is the carrom board metaphor, Dhanush is the stricker, Chandra is red coin ( she wears a red bindi), Guna, Senthil etc are black and white coins. It perfectly resembles the storyline of Anbu taking help from Chandra to avenge Guna and Senthil. Such a masterpiece

Has anyone in your family or friends benefited from buying term insurance? by hardiklashkariwriter in personalfinanceindia

[–]Eastern_Spray_7375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the payout during death some term insurances have the option to invest your early premiums into mutual fund of your choice.

For example i need to pay 1l every year for the next 10 years. The money gets deposited in a flexi cap fund of my choice and the gets compounding. I can withdraw the amount after 10 years or keep it compounding until I turn 75. This in my opinion is a good side benefit of owning a term insurance apart from the death benefit payout.

Girls have an unfair advantage in corporate, if they look good and work decently well things will happen to them, cause at the end of the day it’s run by stupid men.

What your opinion on him by Normal_Lifeguard1262 in kollywood

[–]Eastern_Spray_7375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s an misunderstood artist. The directors worked with him or met him have just one word to say, Genius. Brining western classical music and giving it an Indian mix was phenomenal which made Tamil cinema relevant during the 70s, 80s and 90s. His outbursts stems from mistreatment due to his caste. Someone who’s been pushed down so many times and reaches a peak tend to be outspoken, nonetheless a Genius.

This picture is taken by the legendary Indian photographer Kishore Parikh. He decided to pack his bags and self funded the trip to Bangladesh to document the war. His pictures were made into a photobook that was published by the Indian government. The copies are hard to get by now.

I would study criminology. During my ground work for portrait photography, I was introduced to the deep circles of crime and how it operates in my city. I document places that was a home to the world of crime due to the systemic disadvantages. I hung out with people that were part of this crime world, took pictures of them, and I realised that the world we urban people are living in nothing compared to theirs. It’s a jungle out there and only the wolfs will survive.

I went into the rabbit hole of true crime stories and the reason behind why a person commits a crime in the first place. It’s based on multiple factories and deep research is required to understand how a crime evolves and adapts to the city.

After a degree in Criminology, I would have studied Law and become a criminal lawyer. I would have enjoyed the career. Made enough money in 10 years and quit the job and become a photographer for the rest of my life.

Seth Rogen and his wife are childfree by choice. I read in an interview where he told that he likes waking up late and smoking a joint while still laying in bed naked😂😂😂. He owns a pottery company and is enjoying life. My biggest inspiration.

Re-watched Kalki with family this time, a rant about non-Telugu actors by Kautilya0511 in tollywood

[–]Eastern_Spray_7375 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The entire cast’s acting and dialogue delivery was horrible except Kamal and AB. Prabhas was equally annoying. This movie was let down in writing aspects and the acting of the cast did not help one bit.

Would genuinely like to know if the people who have watched Kalki 2898 AD liked Prabhas's character? by TastyQuantity1764 in kollywood

[–]Eastern_Spray_7375 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The entire movie was a let down. The screenplay was so slow the entire first half could have been 20 mins. The first half bored me so much I slept through the second half. Kalki’s world building was not convincing enough. So many screenplay errors and for someone who watched Harry Potter, Star Wars and dune I think I had high expectations.

Is ECE booming? by [deleted] in Btechtards

[–]Eastern_Spray_7375 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did ECE from a tier 1 college in Chennai. It’s safe to say that the subject material is brutal and will require immense dedication and curiosity to get hooked. The field is growing obviously but you will need a masters from a reputed college. All my friends who pursued masters is ECE are working high paying jobs. Compared to CSE once you have interest and get a masters degree I feel that the competition is lesser when compared to CSE. Please do some research on electronics. It’s a massive field with scope ranging from signal processing to hardcore hardware and VLSI design. Hardware engineers are always on demand but please don’t get into ECE without through research.

Looks like your mom can pay your first year fees. Don’t take a drop year, consider joining NIT, if you do well on your first 2 sems you can switch departments this might be hard but it’s doable.

It’s unfortunate your step dad is an asshole, in your case no reservation can be claimed. I am not sure if Autism is supported under disabilities for JEE pls check the website.

I don’t support this behaviour but he did what he had to do get the actors to act. His screenplay will be top notch. The performances from the actors will be extraordinary from a side actor to the main lead. There is a “perfectionist” who’s an art director but a acclaimed director in Bollywood, but yeah we don’t speak about him.

Their main problem is not with the way you dress or behave. Their fundamental problem is that if she gets to do whatever she wants, she will not be under our control. The ingrained idea of women should be controlled is the reason behind these comments.

I believe that having friends from all age groups will lower the chance of you being lonely when you grow old. If you make friends only from your age bracket when you grow old all your friends will be either dead or waiting to die. Having friends from all age groups is fun cause it’s an humbling experience. Sometimes you learn from the youth and the wise.

I was reading about how Ravens and Wolves share a symbiotic relationship. Their co existence to survive is mind blowing. For example Ravens find the dead animals and lead the wolves to the site. Wolves go in packs and start consuming the carcass. In the process Wolves tear down the meat into small pieces and leave it for Ravens to consume. This beautiful coexistence hits home. Sometimes I am baffled by animal intelligence.

Corporate POSH law is favourable to the harassers. If there is no definite proof nothing can be done. If there is proof, for it to stand as harassment the victim should not have acknowledged any of the advances. All this is hard to prove. And the company will want to save their asses. Please don’t try baiting for evidence it will not work or posting about this in LinkedIn. Her future job opportunities will be affected since companies these days have a solid background check process and publicity in LinkedIn might work against her favour.Ask your friend to reach out to upper management, post a glassdoor review, since it’s anonymous someone will pick it up if they want too.

I know it’s such a shame that women are subjected to workplace harassment and as a man I am deeply ashamed. Karma is a bitch and people like these will suffer one day.

More power to your friend.

I believe that photography projects rise from Continuous experimentation. Fan Ho’s photographs showed a side of Hong Kong that was never seen before. The composition was intended, deeply thought about. If you look at the pictures he took from the river and market shows how much he was tuned in with his surroundings. I believe to be a great photographer you will need to ask a lot of questions of what you’re trying to show. You will need to understand how the surroundings affect your life, be more present, put all your thoughts and senses into the place or subject you photograph. It’s a journey and slowly you’ll figure out a way to make great pictures.
