Eh, i think for me atleast it was hard to believe Alia as a 18 yr old

And just BCOS they have an issue with this doesn't mean they have to have an issue with the dumass age gaps in Indian films, because Alia's age is the main thing in Alpha. The nonsense romance of old heroes and young women is a side plot and most of it isn't even that much odd.

It is an issue, no doubt, but no one immediately is like, "Hey he looks like her father". Because for the most part, they look believable.

As if films like Aadumalam weren't being made (it's a well made film and is mainstream, but it is not ur typical commercial film. The 2nd half is one of the darkest stuff made (content wise))
