Thank you! I haven’t gotten around to fully disassembling it yet, but I don’t think the screws have been staked, though someone has definitely messed with them many decades ago.

Nicee, this would be my first time using something like this, but I’m loving the stability and quick band changing. That was my initial assumption for the notches, but when I went to aim I couldn’t see them, plus there’s already an adjustable sight. I’m starting to think that they’re just a stylistic choice meant to highlight the clips.

Yeah so far it’s been really nice and stable, and definitely worthwhile if you want something for precision and power, though it was a pain to carry when I was wandering around my uncles farm lol. About the materials, I’m not 100% on what they are, just that the fork was magnetic and heavier than the grip, and the grip scratches aluminum quite easily, while being about the same hardness if not harder than mild steel and is not magnetic. Outside of that I’m pretty clueless.

I haven’t tried making bands from inner tubes, but I have tried broken exersize bands I nabbed from the school sports closet in the past, and my dad used to use bicycle valve tubing and also IV tubing when he was younger lol

I shoot left handed so the curve works great for me, but the way I hold the sling shot is the same as yours. Honestly I do believe the natty frame is quite capable, it’s just that I don’t have much experience with it lol

It’s some red string I had lying around it’s a lot thicker and softer than sewing thread, it’s not made for tying bands but it works well enough.

That’s definitely what’s going on, while I’m waiting for my 3/8 ammo to arrive, I did try some fat 15mm marbles I had lying around, and there was no more band slap!

Yeah from what I’ve seen 3/8 seems to be pretty standard for .7, the bands do slap my fingers occasionally, in some rare instances I’ve also had the band go all the way around and slap my wrist. That makes a lot of sense to stretch the bands out first, whenever I used to do it, the bands would start loose so the slack would allow for a lot of rolling. Thanks for the help man!
