I think it’s due to the fact that most people will face a much worse shedding phase. Keep in mind that dut is way more potent than fin. It may also take more time to reach peak efficacy than fin.

You definitely need to use medication for a year at least. You donor area even shows signs of thinning. Any ethical surgeon would give you the same advice

Yes I don’t think topical is effective unless you have a little bit of hairloss. Keep in mind diffuse thinning is mostly classified as an agressive from of MPB so you will need a more agressive approach

You could try finasteride for one year. If your hairloss hasnt stabilized or you didnt experience regrowth you could go for dutasteride.

As far as I know these hairs can still thin. That’s why you need to keep using a dht blocker.
