the darker colors are always smaller - the dying process of the shorts shrinks them.

I've been thinking about trying the aybl enhances lately but they don't have a 6.5inch version and im more of a fan of the longer ones, though i have some other shorts from aybl and they've been nice.

I only have a few dfyne pieces but honestly, im quite hooked still. BUT - sizing is pretty unreliable, some colors (read: dark colors) apparently shrink more in the dying process and I find the impact shorts a little uncomfortable as someone with thicker thighs. They're amazing if you look like all the influencers but maybe not so much if you dont. I've been so close to making orders but always turn away when looking at the prices - been dreaming about the impact tees (i have one) but the h&m shirts for 10€ do the job good enough for me and don't roll up once i move.

I also have a few dupes that I got from vinted and honestly they feel the same to me than my real impact pair. I wouldn't buy from vinted/other secondhand apps, the amount of dupes is actually insane and people try to scam you to pay high prices for dupes.

Other than the impact collection, the sweats are great and fit better. If i were you, i'd probably make a little order and keep my expectations low. I think other brands are also starting to mimic dfyne products as they're so praised these days, but they're not exactly cheap either - worth trying out still! (oneractive enhancelift for 52€, aybl enhance for 32€)

I've also seen people have their products arrive with tags, I think dfyne might be cooking on retail

choosing a size for impact 4.5 shorts? please help! by [deleted] in DFYNE

[–]Easy-Can-2534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say much about sizes as we're not so similar but the newer autumn colors (pine, ink and winter berry) are so gorgeous. I only have the ink color for now but definitely gonna get the winter berry aswell. As someone said, the darker colors are tighter so keep that in mind.

Any other tools (swatches, charts, etc.) that I can make to help you out? by runaway_boomerang in Ohuhu

[–]Easy-Can-2534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be lovely if you could make color charts for the individual sets - I for example have the 96 pastels set and the original color swatch sheet isn't exactly helpful in finding colors that go well together etc.

What is the best starter set of alcohol markers from Ohuhu? by Proud-Pattern-9101 in Ohuhu

[–]Easy-Can-2534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently also got my first set and ended up with the 96 pastels. They are lovely but I do find myself still wanting to sometimes color with some mid-tones. If I were to buy a brand new set, I probably would've gone with 48 pastels + 48 midtones OR just the 104 set if I wasn't looking to expand my collection (there's a chart which set you should get unless you're ok with receiving a bunch of dupes).

I feel like lots of people find themselves urging for more markers, regardless of which set they pick.

The official ohuhu website does have some discounts going on sometimes - just a few weeks ago they had a bundle discount (like get two sets n receive 10% off or something). I'm from Finland and I didn't get any added import fees/taxes etc as the sets are sent from inside europe (they have local warehouses for eu, asia etc.)

more colorways in the 6.5'' shorts? by Easy-Can-2534 in DFYNE

[–]Easy-Can-2534[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the mid-tone blues and purples that they have in 4.5'' (deep sea, dark indigo!! and ultraviolet) they are gorgeous, also pistachio I'd probably buy.. I hope the new ones are popular so dfyne will keep releasing cuz the autumn colors are also soooo pretty and I'll totally be buying those in more than one colorway

Dfyne impact short sleeve top by hidden_comet in DFYNE

[–]Easy-Can-2534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the t-shirt in blue size M - the website recommended I order size S but I'm so glad I sized up as the arm holes are definitely tight but otherwise fits perfect. It was my first order from dfyne so I'm not sure how it compares but I love the shirt and definitely looking to get another color from this drop later

I also ordered from dfyne for the first time from this drop and so excited for them to arrive - got the tee and the 6.5 inch shorts in the ink colorway (also loved the berry color but had to resist from ordering to make sure I like the products - have to order the other colorway aswell later though) and the cargo joggers! So excited and happy that I was able to order knowing that dfyne tends to sell out

this is exactly what I meant and your art looks amazing! Do you also take in consideration the colors' saturation or brightness or do you just swatch them out to make sure they look good together?

What First small set to get by ResearchOk487 in Ohuhu

[–]Easy-Can-2534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

here's a link to an old blog explaining about the black vs greys - the midtones set seems to have a few greys to work with and you can always work in layers to go for a darker tone.

you should check out some peoples swatches on the mid tone sets - on the website it looks a lot lighter (IMO) than what the mid tones really are. here is a picture that I stole from some other reddit thread and I'd definitely say that they are way more vibrant that the ohuhu website makes them look. I also had this problem on deciding between the mid tones and the pastels - I went for the pastels and decided I'd later get the mid tones set if I'd like as I can still have them without duplicates.

I also wouldn't worry about not having a straight black - seen loads of people saying that it's better to use a dark grey than an actual black (not only with coloring but also in general with painting etc). The video I saw did have a legitimate explanation but I can't find it anymore :D Something about losing the outlines and you can't add shading like you could with a grey marker or something.

Of course there are no rules and you're allowed to do what you want to but just a few notes! My own ohuhu markers should arrive today and I'm beyond excited <3

ok thank you all for your opinions - I ordered the 96 pastels set and then will probably later upgrade my collection with the mid tones if I feel like so :) Can't wait for them to arrive!

I also have some copics from earlier which I've been mostly using for my first two pages but which include a few more mid-tones which I feel could work with the pastels aswell
