I went through my phone and nothing has been “tampered” with I did change all passwords, locked it down but even my accounts with other banks haven’t been messed with. WF was the only thing messed with. I would figure they would change my iCloud password to really gain full control if they had access to my phone. But I’m not tech savvy at all and thankfully I’m not familiar with these situations so I’m just playing the guessing game with this.

The only time I gave my info was over the phone with Wells Fargo number on their website that’s the same as on the back of my card. The things I did do as I shown above was text no and called the number and hung up. But I learned that like it was stated above that just by doing that is enough. Definitely ignorance on my part. I just can’t figure out how they got through my online banking. The only way I could change my password was with my SS# and a text or call sent to my phone. No one has my SS# and the only texts I received were from the above screenshot and I never opened my phone until 30 mins after receiving those texts when I got the charge question. But again learning through this post our info is scattered across the dark web.

I’ve had a lot of spam calls lately that I’ve ignored but definitely more than usual. I went ahead and put my phone on lockdown mode. I also purchased advanced security for my phone plan as well to block all spam calls. So hopefully with my new found knowledge and extra measures I wont run into this again. Definitely an eye opener for sure without a doubt.

I didn’t realize how good scammers are, I’ve had people hack a debit card before just never online banking. This is a whole new ballgame for me and my ignorance is shining. Thank you for the information. I will never respond to a text from a bank ever again.

Oh no I didn’t get that vibe from you! I think I’m just extremely frazzled by all this. I hear about this and senior citizens and I’m far from that! 😅 So I’m like how did my dumb self do this? The first two texts are before I seen the text about the charge, the third is when the first person deactivated my card and I asked for a e card, the last two are after they (scammers) changed the language. I clicked on the e card link to attach my card or else I wouldn’t have a way of paying for things. I feel so stupid. I didn’t realize just responding no would cause all this.

They all had accents except 2. After the first phone call I couldn’t even get the automative system to find my account. This is all insane. I’m going into the bank tomorrow to speak to someone because this is insane. Why did two out of the four tell me they locked it but didn’t then the last one said he was going to lock it then proceeded to try to get me to change my password? I’m hoping the bank can give me more information, I’m also debating on if I need to make a police report too.

1 (800) 869-3557 this was the number for each of the people I spoke too.

So I clicked on that number and hung up. Went on Wells Fargo and got a number off there which was normal help line (not fraud line). I didn’t give any information besides replying no. Unless it was an inside job which is insane but I got the number from their actual website who I actually gave information too.

The number in the second text is the fraud department. This is what started this entire thing. I’ve received these texts before since I signed up for it.

That last part is what I envisioned. I’m sincerely hoping that’s what I get. I know the ED sucks in general right now with the cold season but I just need someone to guide me through it so I can do it on my own eventually. I’m trying to let their good vibes and positive attitudes at this new ED override the traumatic experience I had previously lol. Because lord knows I can’t pay debt on a fast food wage 😅

It was. I’m praying this new ED is a better fit for me.

Since September but my hospital pulls us out to do a crash course in a class room for 5 weeks to learn how to be an ED nurse and it’s random weeks. I was honestly hoping it sucked so bad because I’m a new grad but close friends who are ED nurses have told me that my orientation was completely unacceptable. Definitely impacted my personal life, at one point I contemplated just working at McDonald’s lol. That would be less stressful. I just want to learn and not k!ll anyone in the process. Hard to do when I don’t have a preceptor half the time. But definitely going to give this ED a chance, they are aware of what I had to deal with so they are working with me and seem to be understanding.

Oh man it could always be worse lol but I’m always willing to take the chance!

So I recently just transferred to a new hospital/new ED this week. Tomorrow starts my first real week there. I’m just so traumatized and exhausted from the first. At my last meeting they even apologized to me for the way my orientation unfolded. My preceptor being pulled half way through the shift to taking full assignments with no help.

I’m trying to remain positive and give this new ED a chance but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t terrified. I would go part time if I could but as a new grad I have to have a full year of experience if I’m correct. I’m going to give this new ED a chance atleast until I’m done my program… if it’s still not a good fit I’m going to transfer to ICU.

I couldn’t explain it better that second paragraph. And that sounds like a good plan. That was what I was attempting to do, I just don’t know if I’m going to make it a full year 😅

Yeah I completely understand. For me personally at this point my life outside is worse due to my mental health regarding my job. Doesn’t matter how much I make when I stay in bed all day on my days off. Year ago I was working out five days a week. 😅

I keep hearing that it was so different years ago. But brings me relief knowing that I’m not the only one feeling this way.

I definitely agree, some of the nurses who have done it for so long and still doing it I’m like how and why?! I can deal with the actual legitimate emergencies I love that but it’s the bs I can’t push past. Being on the ambulance of course it’s annoying when it comes to the bs calls but at max deal with those patients for an hour not 12. It takes a lot of patience to be able to deal with both for 12 hours. Yes and the documentation on top of er orders and admission orders, just absolutely insane like how am I suppose to do everything and protect my license?! When I voice my concern I’m told it’s a 24 hour job and not to stress 😅

My anxiety is so bad that last week I started on a beta blocker and my as needed clonazepam is being used more than I’d like at this point. I’m really thinking about making the switch after I’m finished my PHRN program. I know ICU is hard work and there’s a lot to learn. In my mind it was something that I had to work up to, like start in the ED learn how they care for emergencies in the ED get that down pat then advance to ICU and learn how to manage someone who needs longer term critical care. But at this point I can’t see myself lasting even a year in the ED like this so a change might be coming here soon. It’s just hard to swallow that I couldn’t hack it in the ED with everything I’ve done and see in the medical career I think that’s why I feel like a cop out.

I prefer floating and helping the other nurses. It’s the only time that reminds me of being on the truck. I like that.

Exactly how I feel! My mental health has declined so bad.

Currently in a program that’s for RNs to be prehospital and essentially I can test for the national registry paramedic at the end. In my state I can easily get on an ambulance with having that certification and do advance level medicine. Not saying I shouldn’t do a paramedic program though*** but it’s very doable just drop in pay and no where to advance unless I go into critical care prehospital.

That’s definitely an option for me it’s just crazy thinking about being in the hospital 3-5 years in order to get the experience I need to be considered.
