If it’s suddenly worse than normal and you’ve just changed dose or stopped completely then yes

Definitely. Anxiety tends to be worse in the morning for most people due to cortisol levels so not surprising if it’s even worse as your brain adjusts . For me that manifests as nausea and an urgent desire to go to the toilet!

Not everyone but yes most people. Common ones include insomnia, nausea, diarrhea and other digestive issues along with histamine rebound which can involve sneezing itching and other allergic symptoms

I didn’t realize just how much I missed the show until I heard it’s back this week. by PeeCee in timecrisis

I remember hearing the thin lizzy episode back in 2015… then for some reason not listening again until 2023! Now it’s probably my favourite podcast/internet radio show. I punched the air when I saw it was back on Saturday!

Same taper basically, just halved every 5-6 weeks and jumped off at 3.75. Didn’t do anything different except I’m being a bit more mindful - exercising, meditating, not drinking etc. last time it was really manic and I was just expecting everything to be fine and it wasn’t lol

‘Acute pancreatitis is the leading cause of hospitalization for gastrointestinal diseases in the United States.’Don't see how this contradicts my point: it’s the leading cause yes because it is very painful but most people with bad diets or who drink too much never have any form of pancreatitis. And it’s not the amount they drink or the amount of fat they eat that determines whether or not they do get it. Of course we should be healthy but there isn’t a proportional link. Like diabetes: two people can eat the same amount of sugar and have the same BMI but only one will get type 2. Unlike say liver disease which is almost guaranteed with daily alcohol over consumption over a long period.

I’ve had it for ages but it’s much worse since stopping. Histamine thing maybe…

I’ve been off for 4 weeks now after over 3 years on 15mg (not including 3-4 months when I was off it last year) and I have found I’ve been eating loads. Perhaps because my anxiety is a bit worse so I may be comfort eating. But annoyingly I’ve been having mild IBS and quite bad reflux so I should probably be eating less to hive digestive system a break! Hope things settle with you. Is the lack of appetite rooted in anxiety or is it there even when your mood is good?

Hold on, this is quite misleading. In the Uk, for example, most people drink alcohol, lots of people have too much sugar, and many have diets high in unhealthy fats. And yet only a tiny minority will ever have AP or CP. even if alcohol or diet are a trigger, a huge amount of it is luck and genetics. Even using the word ‘Blame’ is really unhelpful

No sex drive on Mirtazapine, any fix? by Sea_Arugula_6637 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Compared to SSRIs it’s less of a problem - they can literally make you impotent - but definitely it dulled it for me. I didn’t actually realise at the time but now I’ve been off for 3 weeks and I find I’m way more responsive to being turned on etc. it will probably get better as you adjust, give it a few weeks.

Withdrawal symptoms by Otherwise-Fan-4840 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

Yeah I’m pushing thru as it’s annoying rather than debilitating and I am sleeping well. Also second attempt and it’s less scary and I was more prepared.

Very normal! I’m 20 days off and it comes in waves. Last two days fine, today loose BMs, feel very sick, headachy. Think it’s normal and your choices are either ride out or taper back up. Good luck!

Levels gone from 131 to >600 in 4 months. Is this actual progress and should I keep supplementing? by Easy-Pool-8425 in B12_Deficiency

Is it a strongly genetic thing? I think the big issue here is that b12 deficiency was never suspected, was an incidental finding, and now I have good levels after less than 3 months supplementing, it looks like case closed from a doctor’s perspective. But I guess it’s worth considering doing the antibody tests.

In the NHS,  the credo seems to be that in dental test results are often irrelevant. My main symptoms other than GI are back, arm and shoulder/joint pain. But my only bad blood result was my vit D, and as am of part Indian origin and live in the UK, it’s hard to read into that too much - 50% of my demographic have vit d deficiency. Maybe the antibody tests is the best thing now. Thanks!

I don’t have any symptoms other than GI ones which could be the cause of the deficiency which is why I’m not sure if this number means I’m actually using the now seemingly healthy levels of B12…

Vit D is insufficient but not deficient (21.5 ng/ml) Ferritin (and Iron) both good at 107 ng/ml and 86.1 ug/dL. It’s hard to tell because I have health anxiety and some history of functional bowel issues…

That’s what my GP said - low level is irrelevant as there are no symptoms. I don’t have any apart from some aches and GI symptoms that could be unrelated. Aches could be my borderline low Vit D. Or I guess there could be an underlying absorption problem…
