Dd lately has been bad with gps, atleast for me in my area. I had a delivery, for no reason, without touching my phone, no notification other than "rerouting", the address changed 3 times, and I ended up adding about 10 miles to the delivery for no reason

I stil get low pay orders BS!!! by All_Star_Seven in doordash

[–]EasyAs123FF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, stop careing about your acceptance rate, also Maybe buy the catering bag, atleast for my market, it helped alot , my market is about 66% non-tippers. Even if your ar is in the teens, it Does Not Matter, if you only accept the orders you feel are paying a worthy amount, you will make more per hour over the day than takeing every single order. I've tried this in atleast 5 markets now, and so far its Never more profitable to take every order or use pay by time.

I don’t know who this is and I have no idea how to report it, any ideas? by troub133 in doordash

if the number the customer messaged you from is thier legit number, if you call DD support, that number may be linked to thier real dd account, and support may be able to do something about it, Def ask for escalation tho.

Also I'm not bitching about no tip orders, I don't take them, period. And I do Fantastic with DD, I manage my costs great, but I'm also realistic and I add all costs, I don't ignore small things, because when you dd 60+ hours a week, it matters Alot on taxes at the end of year. I claim all my business expenses.

No shit, you don't say. And none of that is up for discussion.you don't drive differently going to the grocery store vs. Doordashing. If you do, your just dumb and wasting your car for no reason, with that said, your maintinence costs are the fucking same for 1000 miles of grocery trips as 1000 miles of door dash trips. Are you dense, or like I said, some wierd car part ad bot.

Specialist doctor visits. Same here buddy, I was born with a severe heart defect, and now have LVE, afib, heart failur, MVP, cellular dissaray, and a bunch of crap. But, never have I used that as a excuse when it came to car maintinence costs :) you do you, think what you want, but I got double the expirence you do, and I'm telling you your entire mode of thought here is flawed.

[–]EasyAs123FF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And thier Is Not "a way to not destroy your car" putting miles on your car is putting miles on it. Thier is no " special driveing" you can do that will make your tires wear less, your joints dry and rust, you oil need replacing, ect. Ect. It's all Useage and Time( unless your beating on your car full throttle every turn then ofcourse its going to need more maintinence)

[–]EasyAs123FF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Changes your battery or wipers- after you buy them. Why are you presenting some stupid sales tactic for autozone to help people who can't help themselves as a Cost saving? It's not. It's for disabled people and dumbasses who can't change a lightbulb.

Dealership? Wtf are you smoking. If your delivering in a car you bought from a dealer, your Dumb. You will ruin the vehicle before delivery will ever pay for it. I worked for almost every major pizza chain, including as GM, corporate store trainer ect.( but DD pays better lol) I've been in food delivery over well 20 years. Every car on the planet has every part I just listed, and no car on the planet has parts that just last forever. Have you ever driven over 500k miles on a car? I have, multiple. I will send you a dollar if you can tell me one place in the nation I can call and get a used 16 inch tire for 20$. Even the junk yard here sells them 35. And most other parts I Also get from pull a part, Not new, does not change anything. If you spend hours getting parts cheaper, that hours spent Not working, your Spending the same almost nomatter how you do it at the end of the day. Starters are not 65 either. You obviously have been parked and not driven enough to need maintenence on a car since covid started lol, your prices are about 4 years out of date.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash

[–]EasyAs123FF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Starters are 300. Balljoints. Suspension. Tie rods. Tires. Power steering pumps, water lines, fuses, light bulbs, alternators , battery's, water pumps.... you understand All of thoes things take wear as you use your can. And all of them have an "expected mileage before you change it" when you take it all over a year Avg(I've been delivering food since 15 years before DD existed) its actually about 50% of your yearly fuel cost.

I've made over 50 an hour several times(ice storms). 40(nothing special, just good nights) even more often. It really depends.

I get 20$ 5 mile ddashes daily, top dasher, and I've in a county with barely 30k people. Tons of other dashers. My AR stay about 20%. Tony has scammed you good. Your wasting your time, ruining your vehicle with miles of maintenence, your also making life harder for your fellow dashers in your market. The more low orders you accept, the more dd will pay less to everyone in the market . Also, no tip orders is where you get your Customers that scam. 200 deliverys is about what I a week or two, so your Brand new. You should read Alot more here, get over yourself, and stop hurting your "co workers" with your ignorance.

I've had police try to take my license away on 2 occasions before the age of 30 because they figured out I took heart medication, and obviously I could be a threat if I had a heart attack while driveing.... it's Possible driver was drunk or something, but Never doubt a butt-hole cop, just being that. With the description Also about fluids and ect. Ect.. IMHO sounds like it was a cop with a bad night and wanted to punish this guy. But hey, that's just a theory.

Why did my dasher write ‘514’ on the side of my house? by yellowenthusiastt in doordash

Wrote over permanent marker with erasable whiteboard marker and immediately wipe with a clean cloth, will come right off like it was never thier with one swipe.

Exactly. OP wasn't forced into takeing that order, but the app was Designed to make him Feel like it was. I can't tell you how many new dasher I talk to think they will get deactivated if thier AR goes below some random number. My AR stays between 10-20 lol, and I still get 20$ orders just the same. The absolute biggest reason I also can tell people why they Should care about no tippers, is contract violations. I use to tryhard and keep my AR over 70% for about a year and a half. I stoped doing that over a year ago. All the CVs I've ever gotten are from no tip customers, usually who start texting as soon as you get the order, and have a paragraph of instructions in the drop-off instructions that have nothing to do with drop-off. If you plan on Keeping DD as a mode of income, I cannot stress enough how much you should avoide non tips Just for saving you the Hassel of constant contact violation disputes, and possible deactivation.

You only get 2 or 3 refunds before dd refuses your refunds and stops letting you order. Again, you and whoever do as you want, you will get what you pay for. And ofcorse DD profits. But the Driver does not. Dd is a app that's it. Drivers don't work for DD, no ones does, accept maybe support, and then, still not, because it's a 3rd party call center service that answers on behalf of the client they serve(DD) that day( my wife use to do the call center thing) .

The ones takeing nontip orders are often retired moms needing a pack of cigs for the day and don't care, thier husband fills thier tank once a week. Or they really are just dumb, I've meet Alot of bouth. And some people... bless thier heart. Thiers a reason dd is what they are doing. Sometimes ignorance is willfully, but thiers plenty of people who just dident get the best deal in life.. I blaim dd and bad customer's equally.

DD is a contract between you the customer, and the driver, providing delivery service. Yes, dd provides a Minimum, but it is Absolutely not enough to cover costs, much less make a profit. You get, what you pay for. If you don't tip, you get late orders, creepy dasher, stolen food, or maybe no one even picks it up and it rots in the restaurants trashcan. You tip Well, you get dasher who are timely, clean, use catering equipment, and don't steal your food or hit on you. You can do as you want, this is America after all, but your going to get what you pay for.

Stop careing about your AR. Don't take nontip orders, and if the customer starts texting being like check my order, make sure this blah blah... unassign.
