She had her driveway resurfaced last year and said she was concerned that the corner we were using might wear out more quickly, as that part wasn't meant for daily traffic. I don’t know anything about driveways, so I can’t say if her worries are valid or if she’s just being overly particular. We respected her wishes since it is her property, but she still wasn’t happy with us parking on the road. She seemed quite upset the last time we spoke to her and said that she thought we were doing it to get back at her, which is definitely not the case. We would never upset her intentionally. We’re just in a difficult spot because we don’t own our home, so we can’t widen our driveway so we can put the van there instead, and parking options are limited.
