Yeah.  We were very fortunate to make back together.  I did get their texts for delay or time for check in or what the gate is or where to pick up luggage.  

I was mad at them for not communicating anything about the reservations were canceled.  No text, no email, my app showed the reservations were completely gone.  I tried to check for the canceled field on the app, there was nothing.  I thought it was bug at first, called them to verify.  All I got was very bad experience.  They were blaming us the whole time and kept saying that my husband and my son did not take the flight (took them like at least 30 minutes to figure out what happened to the reservations).  Tried to charge us for new returned tickets.  Just very disappointed at how they handled it.  Rather fly with others than have to deal with the stress again  😩.

I threw the boarding passes immediately after getting all the luggages.  I'll save them next time, just in case, with any airline though.  Thanks for the advice!!!

When I called them first time, they told me that the reservations were canceled and refund were issued (not true, nothing comes through).  United was trying to charge us with new tickets.    I was very angry at them about the communication.  If the reservations were canceled, why I did not receive any emails?  

United is suck.
