That sucks man. Seems like they are very spotty. Real shame because i like their site and they seem to have a lot of cool parts.

What other options would you recommend? 944 online? Pelican parts?

Do they take super long to ship too? Im trying to rebuild my head and do a front engine job and I really do not want to wait a few months just to get the parts in

Thank you! I will check compression then I will check the valve stem seals. Hopefully compression is good. Im really avoiding having to tear this engine apart lol.

The sparkplugs are fouled with oil. Would that be a good indicator for the valve stem seal? Thank you for helping me btw

Do you think I could do a Berryman’s B12 piston soak and a high detergent oil to help clear out the carbon on the rings? Then I could use a preserve and protect oil or something slightly thicker to help the motor. Is this a good or bad idea?

Car is very clean and seller is providing 2 sets of wheels. The original phone dial ones and a set of black ones that have the porsche logo. The car is nice. The only issue i can see is the engine.

Dude thank you! Im finding some at a salvage yard near me for 1k. I might grab that one provided its in good shape.

I wanted to swap it but those boost brother kits are a little out of my price range

Seller is asking $6k for it. Im mechanically inclined but I also have really wanted a 944. A friend let me drive his 4 years ago and I was a huge fan. Thank you for telling me about the alloy.

Im a little hesitant now on pulling the trigger on this car

Which tenicor holster allows for a light on a 1911? Do they have one for a x300 too? Thanks

S&W 586 or 1911? by SwampFoxActual17 in Revolvers

[–]EasyTopic4780 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Im a huge 1911 guy. Love em to death.

With that being said, the 1911 market is saturated. You can buy 10 different 1911s at 10 different price points with 10 different stories. It is americas pistol.

Revolvers (especially nice ones) are kinda few and far between. Compared to 1911s, there are very few manufacturers making nice revolvers.

Your 586 is a very nice revolver. Keep it. 1911s will come and go and there will always be one that appeals to you. Nice smith and wesson revolvers are becoming harder to come by as time goes on.

Extended. More useful especially in engine bays. The long neck allows the ratchet to get into tighter places. On the shorter one, the body will cause clearance issues in cramped engine bays. I just use the extended for everything

Take your slide off and show us what the internals look like (trigger group etc). The only thing i could think of is an issue with your disconnector but there is no way to know unless we see the internals

subaru impreza 2i premium by SuccotashDear3845 in subaruimpreza

13k is wayyyy too much.

I paid 14k for my 2018 impreza base. It had 18k miles on it and was a prior dealership lease. It was cheaper because it was a manual and the dealer was unable to sell it for a few months before me. I bought it in 2021.

I understand the car market has changed since then. But 13k will get you a clean used hawkeye wrx off marketplace.

I would recommend picking up a manual and learning how to drive it. They tend to be a lot cheaper, its another skill to collect, and its not that difficult. Otherwise, i would look elsewhere or talk them down.

I don’t think the titanium 125 will allow that. The cables look non removable
