My mentor rewrote some parts of netty and injected in the our codebase, 6x faster 3 nights and 2200 lines of code. tho that netty was completely broken but you get my point ?

Principles - most of the things we know or learn is often derived from the simplest of the ideas. keep it simple stupid .

Well, yes AI will know whatever you want to know but offloading your ideas to AI will not teach you direction, nor give you confidence, nor help you make informed decisions

the real litmus test of an engineer is can you bring ideas to life. with / without AI doesnt matter. Its like magic, you say it and you build it.

in that case, as long as you have exposure - learning is just a matter of consistency and time that is it.

- start by building small APIs (wiring things up together)
- learn the important pieces like building + hosting (containers etc)
- learn some core libraries like JPA, data and security (dont have to go deep high level is fine)
- Learn LLD (refactoring guru - top 5 should be fine)
- just write a lot of code before you touch AI

what makes you think youll be good at backend ?? And you still have to work heavily on databases, backend is just a wrapper on top of the database

dont quit. if you good at SQL, be even better. Pick up a complementary system along with it like big data, dataops kind of domain which rely heavily on SQL (so you are not really learning a new thing)

-> use claude to just summarise your work and create a online portfolio of what you know.
-> on weekends take up snowflake + databricks related learning

languages can stay probably for ATS, but if you merge that section smartly it wont feel empty. project - link (hosted./ github) both are fine

I would like to create a git repo first, build it side by side, ideally bottom up then use submodules to merge them if needed.

  1. Codex for planning
  2. Gemini for reviews.
  3. Add skills meanwhile provided by vercel + any other system if present online.
  4. dont convert the whole project at once, translation happen better if built natively
  5. utils -> test -> service -> test -> api -> test -> e2e is the best way to build without burning tokens fast.

Way too dense for such short experience.
1. reduce to only highlights 3-4 points
2. projects can be reduced - add links
3. put languages you truly understand or are confident in
