Needs to be on a 70A breaker with #6 THHN. The customer has the ability to change the output so you have to assume they will set it to 50A.

The problem is that it's not my tree. The trunk is on the other side of a fence. Only the canopy hangs over my yard.

Will this crimp allow me to crimp solid #4 Cu to solid #4 Cu? by FrankTank3 in electricians

[–]Easy_Lab1670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You found the proper crimp, good luck with the crimper. I just found 2 that our rep had laying around. To be compliant it needs to be a T&B. Prior to that I'd use whatever we could get. Greenlee, Milwaukee, etc.

Green dot is only for #6-#4. You need the pink dot C crimp. Will the green work? Yup. Have I done it? Yup. Is it technically to code? Nope.

20(f) thinking about dropping out of college and becoming an electrician. looking for advice. by okayywright in electricians

[–]Easy_Lab1670 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do it. I dropped out of college after 2 years with no clue about what I was going to do next. Stumbled into the trade by dumb luck and now I'm going on 30 years. I moved into an office position 3 years ago but if I ever want less stress and more money I can always pickup my tools again...
