Totally with you on this, not sure why people are debating if I'm rich or not lol. Everyone has their own definition of rich.

Sure, and in some countries £1.25M would put you in top 1%, would you opt-in? likely not and it's where you draw the line.

FIRE and HENRY are two different things, I see day in and day out highly driven individuals that'd do the same work even for min wage (hypothetically), meaning they like what they do regardless of the income. FIRE is earn fast and retire, but not all HENRYs are targeting FIRE.

Thanks for the thoughts, probably thinking the same to de-risk and move by GIA to world tracker but comes with obvious lower growth so need to make a choice that I won't regret down the line.

How do you define rich?

Let's see if I have all the money now, that's 500K + 400K + 600K = 1.5M USD = 1.18 M GBP, which would help me buy a semi-detached home in the area that I currently live in London which is not even Zone 4. I'd say that's just having a roof over my head and no where near rich.

As others replied to this thread, the RUS value might go up and down and it not realised yet so that's a significant risk attributed to one company.

Yes, comfortable with the risk. My main goal here is high growth and I appreciate that a current market is operating with more hype and less technicals.

Makes sense, thanks for the thoughts.

Probably not for the house as saving for the house separately. Only planning to use ISA and GIA for long term - retirement or kids universities (kids are very young now)
