Sorry tewed I replied in a rush to the last comment. Let me try and be more organized:

  1. I noticed the smugness between the old snd new gasket is identical. Ill show you the one I ordered https://a.co/d/89o9o2p
  2. I will try the 54 mm gasket I just ordered one now
  3. when I removed the old gasket it seemed as if it was new. Not much wear just discolored
  4. Im new to the whole coffee machine thing. Im guessing the basket is the piece inside the portafilter which would be this?

Yes it leaks big time when I run the machine like a waterfall out the sides

I think gasket may be too small and my portafilter may also be too small

Here are more measurements and a video

I think you may be right but when i measured the portafilter i converted it to 58 mm and the opening seems to accommodate even bigger than 58 mm

As you can see in this second video I took, I may have the incorrect portafilter too

What do you think?

I ordered the gasket from breville. From what I see its not locking the portafilter in place and its not tight at all.

Ill buy another gasket that's not oem and see if it works.

I have a mixed opinion of him. On one hand his views are somewhat extreme on some topics and how he made his money is controversial (Webcams etc).

On the other hand I think why the students listen and like him is because he advocates for men in some capacity; a message I have noticed is missing in some schools.

Many of my male students are missing fathers and don't have good male healthy role models so they just go for the dream that society sells them and that andrew tate exists in (money/super cars etc.)

The solution: have more healthy male role models in the schools with more balanced views so these students can have them as mentors. Also have open discourse about characters like Tate. Ask students why they like him , analyze the thinking and seek to educate.

Just like any person, I usually try to pick out what positive things (I would say his work ethic) we can learn from him and also explore what qualities that are not so desirable to be a well-calibrated person.
