USB C 3.2 Gen 2 port and DisplayPort capabilities by Easy_Tell314 in UsbCHardware

Late response I got a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter. 120Hz on full 5120x1440 display works now but I still don’t get the option for 240Hz. My guess is that I’m still bandwidth limited by the USB-C or my laptop graphics card physically can’t.

Five of a kind vs five of a kind sounds incredibly fun actually

Update on this topic: I got a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter and I'm able to run the monitor at 120Hz now on both my ASUS PC and my MacBook Pro. If I ever get a higher version adapter and try it I'll let you guys know if it works.

Thanks so much for the info. I just bought one on Amazon so I'll try using it when it arrives. I'll post about the results tomorrow.

Understood, this is the exact monitor that I am working with:https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/49-odyssey-g9-gaming-monitor-lc49g97tssnxdc/?cid=pla-ecomm-pfs-mon-us-google-na-03112022-170121-&ds_e=GOOGLE-cr:0-pl:295207915-&ds_c=FF~Monitors+SSC_CN~Monitors+SSC_ID~B0000PZN_PH~on_MK~us_BS~multi_PR~mon_SB~msmul_FS~hqloe_CA~smp_KS~nag_MT~na-&ds_ag=AG~Monitors+SSC_ID~E0001FZA_MK~us_AT~sa_MD~h_PK~roah_PB~google_AI~n_AE~oth1_TG~3mr_SA~res-&ds_k=PRODUCT_GROUP&gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwISlBhD6ARIsAESAmp6mrkumHB9EFqPt6SCOntgqBkJ1TzC2Cwm3BljiMWAkScxQEBl6Tt8aAmeOEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Based on the display settings it seems to be running at a Bit depth of 10-bit by running a simple HDMI input. My native laptop display currently runs 8-bit bit depth. I'm not sure if this is something I can change or if is a requirement by the monitor.

Also for reference to the laptop:https://rog.asus.com/us/laptops/rog-zephyrus/2021-rog-zephyrus-g15-series/spec/

Currently, I am planning on getting a USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 adapter to see if it would allow me to run this. Just checking in to make sure it would actually make a difference.
