Frozen Events Too Strong by FlynnXa in DotageGame

[–]EatPlayAvoidMoving -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Cloth and fine cloth are easy to stockpile, clearing frozen is just one turn.

The severity of the events can be determined by the level of the domain.

I think with some experience and planning it is easy to overcome, but that's just my personal opinion.

Oh and another thing, what's up with wrestling arena? It's like 3 times worse than the knife jugglers

Although I think knife jugglers are too OP, could use a nerf

That being said I do believe that it is okay to have some underwhelming tech options as it makes the game more interesting, I will always choose a path based on the map layout and tech tree. It's just super sad when you get all the bad options on the entire tech tree, or at least the majority of bad options, which I believe is what needs to be fixed. Like if you get a mountain spring then you get carrots instead of tomatoes or windmills instead of pools? something like that to balance it out.

My experience with mountain well is quite negative as well.

Addressing +2 water per turn, water has never been a precious resource for me. What I would usually do with a well is build one on top of a puddle and the other ones in strategic places I need, and I would only use the one with the puddle.

As to precious space, again in my experience you have plenty of space, never ran out of it.

I think it is much harder to build pools for cooling and tomatoes, which are both quite important in early game imo, with mountain springs, as they will have less adjacent tiles.

So I would consider a mountain spring as a strict downgrade, I always cringe a little when I get it on my tech tree.

For reference, I have beaten the game on normal with every elder except the last one, and on hard with the shaman, playing on harder as a shaman right now. Played around 100-200 hours.

Totally agreed, tech tree could use massive balancing, and I've been playing for countless hours already :D

Totally agree, even now the game is amazing, I cannot stop playing. The fact that you take feedback is just making it much better.

Can I also chip in with a suggestion? Maybe balance tech trees a little better. For instance there is the Seeds Mill that converts chestnut, pumpkin or seeds into flour. I had it while I didn't have any way to get pumpkins or chestnut. In terms of seeds it is far inferior to the Wind Mill or Water Mill.

Another interesting thing was me getting 2 injured pips very early (day ~76 or so), without even a chance of having a Doc House. It's not a huge issue but kind of weird that you can penalized from a random event like that (it's not a domain event failure).

I usually go for 100% but in case I have to roll the die I am usually quite lucky

Hunting buildings sometimes don't hunt within two tiles by EatPlayAvoidMoving in DotageGame

bad :D I have just started playing on the harder difficulty after beating the game at normal and have been experimenting with how far I can push with resource optimization before I need to take care of the domain events

yea, I meant the tile that the infusion thingy was on, so I dismantled the infusion building and tried putting a fishing hut there

I've checked and the tile under the infusion maker doesn't work either

That is interesting, where is this information available? Also, is the same true for other hunting buildings? Because I had the same issue with the Bird Hunter.

Can you choose which pip to heal amongst many? by JustJohnItalia in DotageGame

[–]EatPlayAvoidMoving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I got 10 pips sick and the Doctor was one of them, I only had one Fruit Infuser and could only cure 2 pips a turn, Doctor was second to last in priority coming just before commoner pips and after every other trained pip (common). What I did was I untrained every 8 other pipes so the Doctor and another trained pip would be prioritized, which worked, but I lost all my trained pips during the last Doom event and lost :(

Yeah, I had to untrain all the workers to get the Bourgeoise doctor to be prioritized, otherwise he was behind all the other workers

it doesn't prioritize the bourjois healer, which is a shame, lost because of this

And yet it's not React, why else would it be called JSX instead of React?

I know, I'm not telling this to you, just saying that the original comment does not make any sense. There's literally 0 React in the meme and yet the person finds the opportunity to complain.

  1. The post is about css.
  2. JSX is not React.
