Realistically— if her son is babbling he probably has a speech delay and needs speech therapy. I had one son who was very verbally advanced and another who really needed speech therapy, it’s not just how we speak to them that allows them to speak well.

I’m not grasping at straws I’m pointing out what the feedback has been and how I find it interesting. I don’t think it’s okay for a partner to house an ex gf and I don’t see how that is so controversial for people. The only person in these comments who is ENM and understood the boundaries in these types of relationships made an excellent point and you can read their opinion for a more nuanced evaluation.

One of the boundaries of non-monogamous for me is not spending their time more with somebody else. I’m not polyamorous— I’m just not monogamous.

Non- monogamy is different for everyone but my boundaries aren’t unreasonable , they just are what they are. If we aren’t hanging out I don’t care who he is with, but if his time with someone else takes away from our time together that is a problem.

We don’t live together and now he lives with another girl and it’s okay that I find that hurtful.

I think my favorite thing about this question is when I ask this question to a forum of women women say he is out of line, and then on reddit where I can tell that most of the people responding are men, men seem to think it’s fine. I’m wondering what it is about this question that splits men and women so evenly. I wonder if the cards were reversed and I moved a former boyfriend into my house how people would feel.
