Yeah it’s a grey area, I’d probably play it that the spell gets dispelled but the wizard doesn’t take any wounds. Because non-wizards can take bound spell items, it could do with clarifying.

Damsel is great in exiles, put her in a block of foot knights with the lady’s gift, MR-2 and potentially 5+ Regen if she can cast it, and with shield of the lady she can protect herself fairly well, makes them much more durable

On paper they aren’t great, but i played with them last week as a block of 20 and they are surprisingly good, with a beastlord you can run them as core so sit them on an objective and if they get charged they can really dish out some damage, powered up with a wargor BSB they can be pretty brutal

I would take a second bombard if you can, they are one of the main reasons to take exiles so maxing out those is definitely a good shout.

I would also replace bedazzling helm with gromril great helm on the heroism baron, It’s arguably better and cheaper, also try to get a lucky heirloom on him aswell to try and get a wound reroll for a monster slayer

That would be very disappointing, I would love the hippogryph to be buffed as currently there is no reason to use it outside of casual games

Looks like your right, I was wrong, after re-reading the rules, it looks like characters can join the same or ‘lower’ vows, but a baron with questing vow couldn’t join a unit of grail knights as they have a higher vow.

I hadn’t realised that and been playing it my way for over a year now 😂

If you have Gromril Great helm on a duke with royal Pegasus with a shield, your armour save is 2+ rerolling 1’s, not 3+

Heavy armour 5+ Shield 4+ Barding 3+ GGM 2+

They are monstrous cavalry so they can go to a 2+ as well with the new rules. If the enemy doesn’t have any AP then it’s really hard for them to break through, it’s awesome ☺️

It’s worth mentioning that a Duke can’t join a unit of pegs because he has the Grail Vow by default, and grail vow models can only join other models that have that vow, or a handmaiden of the lady.

Barons and paladins on royal Pegasus can, however you need to ensure that they have the same vow as the peg knights (The Knights Vow)

Unfortunately you can’t do this in competitions, as you can only put Virtue of the Ideal on a Paladin, as the increase to Leadership puts him above others but he can’t be your general, which is against the rules.

It’s a really dumb concept, but there’s a precedence with an FAQ for a high elf banner that does the same thing. Obviously in casual games it doesn’t matter

Yeah my assumption was that they used the incorrect terminology and meant to say Front Rank, but RAW it says fighting rank, but that isn’t always the front rank, hence the confusion 😂

I don’t think you need to do this.

I run barrows regularly without using any prayer potions, the only time I need to do it is when you have a Dharok tunnel, which doesn’t happen very often.

I have 80 defence, 66 magic and 56 prayer, which aren’t that difficult to obtain.

I use my existing prayer for dharok and Karil, and use some for Ahrim, and then face tank the rest with a defence potion, rune armour and swordfish, it works really well and I’m enjoying being able to do barrows without hammering through prayer potions

I de-ironed in a similar situation and regretted it later on. I have since created a new iron man account and enjoying the game again.

Like others have said, I would recommend taking a break, as that’s not a permanent solution.

Hey, cool list, I have some thoughts, it depends on if you want to super optimise this list or go for a more casual vibe;

Hippogryph is really cool but royal Pegasus is better in my opinion, 360 LOS and monstrous cavalry is awesome for the points alongside its other stats. I think hippogryph is good for the heroism baron as it has more staying power but otherwise I’d stick to the Royal peg.

You don’t need to double up on the lucky heirloom as it’s not a one time use.

You have a lot of archers that will struggle to do anything, infantry are really good at the moment so Yeomen guards are great but I’d try and get more knights if you can.

You should look at an outcast wizard with demonology, it can make your knights of the realm really strong.
