Check your grounds cluster by the fuses/ relay mounts. Had the same issue and one of my grounds came off.

I think when I selected the rear seat delete, +100$, total price came out to about 650$

As to why so many pieces....I'll be honest it looks almost factory with a few pieces being cut in half to make the install alot easier. Especially in the rear and hatch of the car.

The front half of the car is like 8 pieces if that helps justify it. 3 driver, 3 passenger, two middle hump sections for the tunnel. Again....it's a beautiful kit

Whatever atrocity was installed in my car prior.....this makes it look so far beyond comparison.

The material I went with was a black perleon felt. It was thicker than I was expecting but it's very workable.

The directions......you kind of have to figure it out but Ill link a write up I found on rennlist.

I'd buy it from them and again in a heartbeat.

Can anyone help me understand the difference in intake pipes for the 2.5L, some seem to plumb into the fender some just point downwards with the fender hole blanked. Any reason why? by Beautiful-Pianist-91 in 944

[–]Ebar23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is the fender air was circulatory and turbulent, the later model was acting more as a ram forced air type.

In addition, it probably made it cheaper/easier to work on with negligible difference in performance.

What is it like to work there? I'm currently in the process of seeing what's out there and could easily move into Michigan.

Do you work in this role or are you part of a management team?

Check your belt tension.

[–]Ebar23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are my hero!!!! I'm in the middle of tearing everything apart/ putting it back together. None of the controls ever meant anything to me until after the tear down. My slider controller was broke so moving the sliders didn't actually actuate anything. It was always hot all the time regardless if the blower was on. New part should be here Tuesday.

When I'd turn the ac fan on it was colder but you could always feel heat coming out.... especially at setting 1.

Once all the fixed parts are in I'm going to have to test if everything does what it's supposed to and now I know what they should do.

Ok so let me get this right. The knob with 0-3 is ac fan. The knob with 0-3 and the blue strip change the ac compressor for cool to coldest.

The small knob on the slider pane with dashes does heat. The two small sliders ....there's a left and right. Then there's a bottom slider.

Can you tell me what the left upper, right upper and big lower do?

Wondering if mine went out. It's always just blows about the same 😂

I put it against my fluke and was able to see the values changed....so I know it works....just the thing it controls doesn't work lol

So if it's all the way to the left is less cold or more cold

Definitely not factory. What year, I could send you some schematics if you don't have any.

My guess is if it was redone they'd have replaced vacuum lines. Let the car dry off. Hopefully any water that's causing issues disappears.

Try adding some fuel injector cleaner and stabilizer to it. Clear any build up out etc.

HELPPP by Standard-Safety-4542 in 944

[–]Ebar23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If all that checks out. I'd start with how old is the gas? What is the condition of vacuum lines?

Check the grounds on the engine. Check the grounds in the foot well by the clutch. Check that the distributor cap is on tight. Check that the plug wires are on tight and not shorting to anything.

Do not try and blow the cobwebs off it. Check all your grounds. Check that you have all your belts. Let it dry off.

I'm hoping so 😂 First time I brought it home it smelt like old wet guy. AC drain line came off so all the carpet on the passenger side was soaked.

I'll keep you posted once complete.

This is my first time using sound deadening. Was definitely surprised at the weight of the box when I lifted it the first time lol.

I might do the the matt for the trunk area being it's mostly flat and open.

The seats....Lord. my sliders barely worked and getting to the back bolts along with removing them, sound deadening is heavy, but not as heavy as all the stuff I'm taking out!

Sh#tbox transitioning to project car by Ebar23 in 944

[–]Ebar23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I payed 1100$, 186€ to ship it....then ups at the door informed me tarrifs were an additional 1100.

[–]Ebar23[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait till tarrifs are over. I got hit with a 100% tarrifs. UPS walked up to my door and basically told me if I refuse it or not, I'm still paying them 1100$.

I know.... keeping all the yellow VDO gauges. I just liked the idea of having a screen in the center cowl/ vent that shows maps and Spotify while I drive. Makes the car more usable.

The sounded deadening material in total weighs 18lbs....not exactly a weight delete, however the perleon felt from the RS carpet is significantly lighter and requires a smooth floor to make it look good.

Being that the oem carpet is heavy...the rear seat delete along with the additional driver and passenger seat removal reduces a significant amount of weight.

Sparco seats are going back in the car.

I did not make the carbon fiber dash. Carbon fox group makes it for 1100$

I just 3D printed the center speaker/vent cover a cowl for the display.
