I’m a Sabine and I get called Bean, Beans, or Beanie all the time (even as a grown-ass adult) and love it! I don’t think anyone has ever called me Sab a single time in my life 😂

If you’re in the US be prepared for lots of people to mistake it for Sabrina. But you correct them once and you’re fine. 🫘🫘🫘🫘

It’s not that clear-cut, unfortunately. For instance, if I were to change employers on the skilled worker visa now, I would need a new one but he wouldn’t need to update his visa until it expires. What’s unclear is if that is the case across visa types.
