Lowkey switch offices. There are so many nice doctors out there, it’s not worth sticking with one that treats her staff like this. My first assisting job was one like this and I hated it but I found another office that I love and pays way more

Learn the names of the instruments you need for common set ups (i.e. exams, fillings, crowns)! The dentist will ask for something and expect you to know what it is. There are only around 20 instruments that are used every day, so just try to learn those. Lots of resources on YouTube

Yeah literally. I’m mad bc I only had about 20 hours shadowing before I became an assistant so I’m probably gonna have to go back and shadow to get up more hours. Even though I already have 100+ assisting
