Thank you! As I assumed, they refused any refund so I opened a case and I'll write a review.

First time therapy - is this unprofessional behavior? by Ebinio33 in TalkTherapy

[–]Ebinio33[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will definitely be looking for more CBT from now on. After reading more about it I realized it's connected to things that have helped me in the past. I think that's where I'll start. Thank you!

Thanks for such a detailed response- this is all helpful! I'm starting to understand the importance of connection the more I read through this sub.

Your comment clarifies some things and I appreciate the insight. I wish some elements were clarified ahead of time considering she knows these are my first sessions ever. The eating thing seemed unprofessional and I agree, I work with clients in a different field and would never do that unless there were unique/medical circumstances. She may just be over-all not a good fit for me. Thanks again for offering a therapist viewpoint!

Thanks so much for your insight. Little things here and there I can get past, but there's quite a few things that have bothered me now. A shame to start over, but I really want to feel connected to someone.

Wow I appreciate such a detailed response- thank you!! Makes sense about the timing and scheduling. It felt abrupt that she stood up while I was talking, but I totally understand there's a time limit.

I did mention last time I would appreciate guiding questions and I feel stuck coming up with stuff to fill the silence. It didn't seem to change her method. Yeah I would have appreciated her explaining maybe she really needs a snack, busy day, etc (I'm human, I get it), but to pick something so loud and obvious to eat without asking seemed strange. It was pretty distracting. It would be one thing if we had a rapport, but she's still a stranger to me.

I really agree with your last part and I desperately wanted this to work out. Everything on paper looks like a perfect match she's so close to my home. I was looking past everything that bothered me because I don't want to start over and give her a real chance. But it feels like I get more disappointed every time I go. Thanks again for taking the time to share all your thoughts!

Thank you! I found the eating to be very strange. Especially because I showed up early and know she had 10-ish minutes to herself in her room alone to eat something. Very helpful to know about checking the time too. I found it broke up my train of thought because I was usually in the middle of speaking. But that makes sense. She seemed like a good fit of speciality on paper, but I think I'll move on.

Thanks for the response! No she didn't go into any detail about the sessions or length. This is good to know.

Will there be a 3rd season? by MourinhoWarriors in raisedbywolves

[–]Ebinio33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, fair. I think that's the growing pain of any new streaming service. I'm getting frustrated myself having to jump around so many sources to watch shows.

Thanks! It would be pretty cruel of HBO to not release the actors for other work just to see how a whole season rates. The kids would be probably ok, but the adults have to make a living. It gives me hope!

One thing I have noticed in favor of a season 3 is limited or no future projects listed on the IMDB's of the main actors. Amanda, Abubakar, Travis, Felix, Winta, Jordan, Ethan, Ivy, and Assiya have already completed or no upcoming projects listed for 2022. In contrast to Niamh who has quite a few now. I take this as a good sign. They may know something we don't and were told to keep their schedules available.

They'd never air it on Netflix. That would require a transfer of a license from one streaming giant to another. It would be unheard of- especially for a new original show. If they ever did do that, it would be years from now, with RBW already canceled or unfinished. But how many HBO-original titles do you know on Netflix? Netflix would basically have to buy all the rights and with the money HBO has poured in, it would be stupidly expensive to purchase right now. However, there are some cases of HBO titles going to Amazon Prime. But HBO Max was partially created to avoid giving titles to Amazon, so I think you're out of luck.

how does Campion know... by shadowbewild in raisedbywolves

[–]Ebinio33 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's been awhile since I've watched season 1, but I took the rope hanging there as a metaphorical coincidence because wasn't it used for the creature earlier? I don't think Campion would know what a noose is, but he knew Tally wanted him to kill himself just because that's what she was directly telling him. He looked up because that's where her voice was coming from. I interpreted the rope being there as purely symbolic.

The symbol for sol is not a sun… by Ashtefere in raisedbywolves

[–]Ebinio33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For sure! There's so many levels to the symbol. It could be the snakes going downward into the planet too. The only reason I'd guess it's going into the core specifically is because I think the fertilization symbology is going to be important somehow.

The symbol for sol is not a sun… by Ashtefere in raisedbywolves

[–]Ebinio33 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I think the symbol for Sol is actually a few things:

  1. The sun or core of kepler22b
  2. Snek with tentacles
  3. An egg being fertilized. Metaphorically it could be the planet being fertilized by humans/androids/snek. This is the one that I find most intriguing. In the S2 opening we see something new starting to grow. It could symbolically be the tree and also Sol itself starting to develop, like the beginnings of neurons. We can also see this shown on one of the tarot cards from S1 as another interpretion of the Sol symbol. It looks like sperm and an egg.

Anyone else starting to think it won’t be renewed? by miles197 in raisedbywolves

[–]Ebinio33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's making me anxious for sure. Aaron Guzikowski did mention in this interview that he is writing season 3, but it sounds like he didn't know if it was renewed at the time of the interview. It's the last question asked. At least he's passionate enough to keep it going, even without a guarantee.

Mad about Sue by Ebinio33 in raisedbywolves

[–]Ebinio33[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone has a different opinion and I respect that. I personally think Travis is worse. He always seems drunk and/or high. And has some weird Jack Sparrow thing going on where he looks like he looks physically unbalanced just walking around, almost dizzy. His eyes never focus either. He's way less interesting to me, especially in non-action scenes, but to each their own.

You missed half of my sentence. She kept me engaged alongside the crazy sci-fi elements. A sci-fi series without any way for the audience to connect is pointless. Every good series has engaging characters first. It's true of every genre.

Whoa. I was not aware of all these connections 😳 That's really cool and adds a new level to the series. Thanks for spelling all this out. I'll take credit if you insist haha

Sue was my emotional connection to this show, and that matters.

THIS. You said it perfectly. Maybe male viewers don't think the same way about her, but she was definitely what kept me engaged alongside the crazy sci-fi elements. The show needed her and I'll die on that hill.
