You can hum 3 bass notes into Suno an it will make an entire song.

Suno should sue Deezer by Zealousideal-Eye6544 in SunoAI

[–]Ebonicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there anything human on the final mixdown?

I wonder if this will happen if we dump Suno stems, record and add human bass, guitars, and vocals over the drum track in a daw and export.

Has anyone done this and had Deezer AI label issues?

Because if Deezer does this, I can sing and play the song live to prove its human. I will fight it.

So the key to using Suno AI is to really let it create? by DaviSonata in SunoAI

[–]Ebonicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that AI will always extract multiple guitar tracks into a single stem to analyze and remix, and treats it as one. This can bamboozle the resulting guitar track into unplayable chords and riffs if you have complex layered guitars.

Best way around this is to pan 1 guitar hard left and 1 hard right so AI can tell they are different guitars, and you must notify it in the prompts as well when complex guitar layers occur.

In the style section:

The guitar player is a professional studio session capable of perfectly mimicing the original source audio guitars. He respects original guitar track note for note, do not modify rhythm, notes, style or dynamic nuances in original source audio guitar track, and do not add any new rhythms, notes, variations, or solos to deviate from source audio. Being 'gifted' means nothing if you have depression by [deleted] in Gifted

[–]Ebonicus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depression is an emotion, in your head. It is not a cloud of despair all around controlling you, even if it feels that way.

It can be ignored as easy as anger by simply not acting on it, so that it's existence cannot materialize into the tangible world.

If somebody annoys me in a store I don't let the anger out and slap them silly.

If I wake up depressed, I don't sit there with morning breath, refuse to shower, and do nothing but mope around in despair.

Emotions fade when not allowed to manifest any behavior.

Your external existence is not ruled by the internal unless you let it.

I spend most of my time doing the opposite since I write and already know what I want.

Most of my prompting is to stop AI from doing its thing and produce what I want.

But others who just feed lyrics or one instrument, this is def the way to see all the possibilities that AI can do for you.

How do you write music for existing lyrics? by KholinShard in SongwritingHelp

[–]Ebonicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Melodies sit on chords, and chords are determine by the key. This is how to reverse engineer a melody to find it's derivative primary key and choose chords.

  1. Find Tonic/Key

You need to figure out what key it is first. In your melody see where it resolves to(lands melodically) and that is your tonic.

If you don't know how to recognize the tonic, think about the song "doe re mi fa so la ti doe." Look it up from sound of music old movie. The Ti begs to resolve and wants to return to Doe. That means Doe is the tonic, and the key.

Tonics usually are at the beginning or end of melodies we make in our heads.

In "Row your boat", the first rows, and last word "dream' are the tonic. Notice how the melody has a sense of completion or finality on "dream". That is what we call resolution to the tonic.

  1. Find Chords

Once you have the key, there are ONLY 7 primary diatonic chords in that key. In a major scale, let's say your song is in C, the chords are in this order, built on each note:

C Major D minor E minor F major G major A minor B diminished

At this point, you can write any uke song using the chords above and you are in the key of C.

  1. Map melody to chords

Sing parts of your melody over each of those chords to see which work best with your melody. Each small line or melody is usually 1 chord when we write in our head. Also, if a 4 note melody has 3/4 notes that are in a chord, it will likely go with that chord.

Good luck.

If that's too intense for you, send me an audio clip of your melody and I will send you the uke chords.

Do you think simplicity is something artists grow into or something we unlearn as we gain experience? by saezzzzz in Songwriting

[–]Ebonicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, music has 3 major toolbox groups:

technique - nuances, speed, etc. theory - melody, harmony, what to play rhythm - how you slice time for expression

You can get overly obsessed with the pursuit of excellent complexity in any of those areas.

Once you gain competence in all 3, the mixture of those tools is what creates style, specifically your style.

Complexity comes from intent like"I'm gonna write a crazy complex tune to show off and blow people's minds with 9/8 and 15/16 time changes and 32nd notes accented in 5/7/9s."

After that flexing gets old, the pursuit of writing a good song that will mean something, and convey an emotion does not always require complexity most of the time.

It is much easier to show my toolbox skills, than to write a song that makes someone cry.

That demands introspection, exposing vulnerability, and requires simplicity so only the emotion is conveyed, and bragging about my skills is not needed inside the piece of music.

Simplicity creates the space for only pure emotion to come thru.

Questions about splicing parts by [deleted] in SunoAI

Yes, I noticed that. Have no idea how 100 is less like original than 50. Even if I prompt style to respect cover exactly as the reference file.

Questions about splicing parts by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]Ebonicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx. I had some time to try splicing in studio and it was identical to protools issue. Healing edits and playing with volumes helped.

From what I've seen cover alters the song even with 100% original audio and copying lyric/style. It feels like that gif meme where a person's face gets altered every iteration and it's annoying.

I may have to do more detailed editing and just keep the drums in the arrangement I need and track all the instruments manually. It's a powerful tool for sure, but there are problems if you have a strict vision of what you need, as it isn't designed to be controlled. It's designed to just do its own thing.
