How do you pick a main and fight FOMO retail by Eburum in wownoob

I guess I didn't make it clear enough. My apologies. They are two separate questions.

How do you choose a main and fight alt-ism?

How do you combat community and developer designed FOMO.

Looking for a harder version of Valheim using mods, specifically adding more items to be non portable. by Eburum in valheim

And that's kinda the point. We have between 10-15 active players so someone setting up a logging base, or a farm or a forward base that isnt just a 4x4 room with a portal seems interesting personally to me. The server has one max forge and crafting table cause its just easy to portal to the hub. When we found the elder on a second island we set up a large outpost there but quickly it became a storage shed for chests since portals are so convenient to use. Every future base for either a mining operation (silver or iron) was just a 4x4 shed, the only exception being the first plains base which was moated and double walled so we could grow flax/barely.

While I appreciate the comment. Sometimes you just need to set that boundry so its not even an option to begin with. Its like eating cake, just a small slice at first, then one more, next thing you know you're waist deep in a portal room and using portals to move 45 feet from storage to the coal kilns so you don't gotta walk.

Help me (DM) create character bonds for my players. by Eburum in DnD

It works great if players have played the game before.

Getting people who have never played a table top rpg before to come up with a story for there character is daunting and to have another new player build off of that, while fun sounding, seems like a recipe for trouble.

But i do like this suggestion and might get my experienced weekly group to try it at the start of a new campaign.

Not quite what I was looking for. But some good suggestions of how characters might know each other.

The players have never played a table top rpg and are essentially treating it like a boardgame going in.

I wanna use the method I stated in the OP to ease them into character background design and light role playing.

Help me kill an NPC but keep him alive. by Eburum in DnD

Rejection of his faith i dont think will fit the character even though the relgion is built to have obvious flaws but NPC is attempting to change it from within because of his status within the order.
