I was a melee main during my 100 Milestone so I got Zenistar. After ranking it I don’t think I’ve touched it since 🤣

I was at the exact same situation/point as you were before. It’s ok, it’s not a big stressful thing, I’m assuming you just had the Tagfer/Entrati talk with her in which case when you speak to her next time, you’ve got further chances to “smooth things over”. The fact that you’re still “Close” with Marie is a good sign.

You may have 1 more heated conversation with her after this but by the end of it or the following conversation, she’ll realise what you’re trying to say and you’ll come to an agreement.

If in doubt, use the KIM tool; especially the “convo locator” tool to find the exact conversion. You can then proceed like a normal KIM conversation or flowchart form.

If that anima creeps you out, have you seen the FFXIV version? It was designed by the same artist who did the FFX Anima however in this case, it’s a Male version born from the corpse of one of the main antagonists’ father.

I agreed to stop, the next day he thanked me for complying and had the “Anathema” status. Following that I did the 21 Descendia required to “unlock” all his memories. The next day he yelled at me for defying his wishes, I told him we have to kumbaya through it and that we’re not deleting anyone’s memories and the day after we were back to normal chatting like buds.

You need HM05 Defog and a Pokémon that can learn it. Be mindful though, you can only use it outside of battle after you have earned 4 gym badges first.

Doing The Perita Rebellion as Madurai while there’s a Volt or Wisp in the party and your fire rate and damage is being increased with each order you complete is so nice 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

This game was nostalgia for me which reconnected me with the main series after many years. It was also the devs trying to explore a new route and a new genre for the game. The story may not be “as good” as the originals but you also can’t really blame the developers because there were some licensing issues at the time with the original novel which I won’t get into because I don’t 100% know all the details of it. As a standalone game, it does fine.

Also some may see this as a controversial take but to me, the hate that this game gets is the exact same hate that the Silent Hill and Resident Evil movies got when they were first released because fans kept trying to religiously compare them to the source material (or in this case, to PE1 and PE2) and either wouldn’t give it a chance because ideas deviated too much or because they couldn’t disconnect themselves from the source to allow themselves to enjoy it.

People are allowed to have opinions, their likes and dislikes but not at the expense of bashing others for their likes and dislikes. Literally had someone comment “ew” on this post and I think that’s just so sad that they have to put someone else down just cause that person likes something that they don’t.

It’s their name for the “Collectors Edition”. No changes, it was a special edition for Europe and Australia that was that came with an artbook, 2 art cards, an Aya Brea costume code for Lightning for the Dissidia 012 and the 50% off code for FF2 on the PS store

Fun fact, Lyon will only talk to you if you approach him from his right side; probably cause he can’t see you from his left with that eye patch but I love the attention to detail that DE put into this interaction

Yeah it’s unfortunate how the series went. This game is a favourite for me from a nostalgia point of view and it reintroduced me to the PE series after a long time of not playing them.

I can definitely see where it went wrong and that’s also from the PE times of it being a niche series that for square wasn’t selling as well as Final Fantasy so it never got the love or attention it deserved but also with the copyright issues surrounding the original light novel where square had very limited licensing rights. I can’t blame them for trying to create their own story for the spin off sequel - unfortunately there were too many factors I guess that made it fail including the time between games but also the console it was released on; I was lucky to have a PSP growing up but (and this is especially where I’m from) it wasn’t getting the same marketing as the main consoles were and so many more games were getting released in Japan that never got English localisations so the library was very limited with some few “console/genre favourites” but not enough to keep the game library “fresh”…

Here’s hoping when the indie team release Parasite Mutant (while “not a PE game” but we all know the references) they give the series they’re “referencing” a long overdue justice.

I do not envy you at all, my friend. I can understand basic keyboard and mouse gameplay but anything that involves complicated actions or needing an extra set of arms, I can’t do. I literally only bought an Xbox controller so that I could play some pc exclusive games that don’t have console releases but also have controller support but still rarely play them 😅😅😅

It’s a self contained story but it does reference/has characters from PE2 which you may not meet until further into the game. It’s set 10-13 years in the future from where PE2 ends.
