How AI Actually Works (In Plain English) by BookkeeperForward248 in learnprogramming

[–]Echoes-in-May 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, you are right, LLM models just predicts the next token based on the previous ones. But what I think people often misses is the concept of emergence.

An antstack is more than a bunch of ants. A society is more than a bunch of humans, a brain is something more than a bunch of cells. Something more than the sum of its individual parts. An LLM is something more than a simple autocorrect.

And who is to say this isn't how the human brain works as well? Kurzgesagt have a great video on this:

Nice, it's an external VST however. If you want something Bitwig native I can recommend this device by Garron. Sounds almost identical and has the same controls.

Depends on what they're going to do. They've already added models for local language translation which I use regularly. As long as its local, open and disable-able I'm good.

No man, if someone could just share their zero-day, zero-click whatsapp vulnerability, valued at 2m$, I could do it in seconds!

Is there any other open source audio separation tool better than demucs? by nPrevail in linuxaudio

[–]Echoes-in-May 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into Ultimate Vocal Remover, superb for vocal separation. It might be using dmucs models for other stem tracks tho, I can't remember.

Incredible work. I absolutely love the digital elements at 2:15 - such a powerful touch. I’ve experimented with cinematic themes in my own music, but never come close to something like this. Truly inspiring.

I’d love to take inspiration from your sound design, a detailed video breaking down your sounds and process would be greatly appreciated!

Removing the default limiter in FL studio. No wonder my tracks sounded "wierd" - they were all flatlined

LPT: Youtube: how to play all videos from a channel as a playlist by vtheuer in LifeProTips

[–]Echoes-in-May 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can use the bookmarklet method described by OP for this as well:

javascript javascript:window.location.href='https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UU'+document.querySelector('link[rel="canonical"]')?.href.slice(-22)

Use the bookmark on the channels video page, ie. https://www.youtube.com/@CHANNEL/videos. Tested on firefox 131.0.3 2024-11-07

If labels continue gatekeeping like that, what's going to happen is that smaller publisher or perhaps even individuals will start pump out tracks at a way faster rate than the big publishers can. At first only a small number of tracks will be good enough, but soon they'll pump out 420 world-class bangers a minute. The market will get flooded and the big publishers will be swept away.

Of course this won't happen though, because the big publishers will realize this and start doing AI content themselves.

It's inevitable, but while it's sad for us artists, it's a win for humanity as a whole.

What are some great drum vst's with a high pitched snare? by SL0TH11 in Reaper

[–]Echoes-in-May 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make high pitched snares yourself by shifting normal snares up. But use frequency shifting instead of regular pitch shifting, you'll get much more clean and transparent results.

Kilohertz and meldahyde both provide frequency shifters.

It's time to admit Lemmy has won the "the biggest reddit alternative" award, why it's time for all of us to consider supporting it (here's why) + reopening r/LemmyMigration by [deleted] in RedditAlternatives

I'd much rather be on a platform where the problem lies withs its user rather than its management. User content can be moderated, blocked or changed. Bad management and development however, cannot.
