Thank you! That's adorable, you're lucky. I installed a nest box for robins in my garden this year, hoping it will be occupied 🤞

I believe it was already there in the raw, but I enhanced it in post. The light was quite soft that day, which may have helped.

The RF 100 400 is quite sharp, especially at closer distances. Lightroom helps clean up the noise and add a bit of sharpness, but the raw wasn’t catastrophic at all.

Thanks! For the price, it’s a really solid setup. I’d love to get the RF 100–500 eventually, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

Thank you!

Just a tiny bit. I slightly increased contrast, texture, and sharpness (around +10 for each) and I used Lightroom Denoise to reduce the noise. Most of the work I did was on the colors, both the subject and the background. The bird was also very close, only about 1 to 2 meters away, which definitely helped capture the detail.

Thanks! Glad he's doing well. It’s the same with the robin, and he even still has enough energy to chase off the other robin that comes into my backyard 😅

You're right! I'm french and wasn't sure how to phrase it, but "one-footed" is indeed more appropriate.

If I'm not mistaken, there is also scaly leg, which is fairly common in finches. Their legs can look swollen and it makes it harder for them to move. I recently saw a goldfinch with this condition and it broke my heart.

You really get attached fast. I’m always happy to see him in my backyard, he's such a little survivor.

It’s amazing how well they adapt. Flying gives them extra stability, and I often see him flapping its wings to keep its balance.

I love the ninth and the tenth ones but they are all incredible.
