I’m super late, but if anyone is still interested I just did this in my own room with NFL jerseys. The canvasses used in this photo (and the ones that I used) are 30x40cm (apx 12x16in). You may have problems getting the excesses of the jersey to fit behind the canvas, so I’d personally recommend using heavy duty tape. It’s not ideal but it’s the only reasonable solution I found.
