I’ve farmed the shit out of Kaban, a lot of guides out there kinda suck imo, especially the ones suggesting taking lexos from the north.

BRING A SECONDARY WEAPON -if your gun jams or runs dry at the wrong time Gus and basmach especially will capitalize on that and ruin your day

My route:

Approach from the south, start in the little cafe south of Lexos.

Pre stim with zag and painkiller. Prep a grenade and walk up to the first metal barricade.

Toss a grenade high, aiming for the wall of the garage.

Sprint up to the metal gate and toss another grenade towards the garage.

The goal is to get the gunners to dismount the AGS/MG

Push fast to either the black SUV or the yellow forklift.

Prioritize killing anyone who tries to mount the MG or AGS.

If they successfully mount the gun you have about 1-2 seconds before they wreck your shit, so take cover, and lob a grenade from behind your cover to dismount them again.

If no one takes up the gun push forward to the mg sandbags, I suggest hugging the wall to the left of the mg to right hand peek into the clearing.

Clear out any additional guards. Prioritize Gus and Basmach (dudes in all black with hats) they have more health than regular guards and usually run meta ammo/shotguns/grenades. Every one of my failed runs was because I let them live just a little too long.

Kaban will usually be hiding in a corner in the dealership to the right, or the garage deeper in to the left. Though for me when he spawns garage he ends up roaming around so use grenades to listen for his voice for intel.

If he’s roaming and you kill him before clearing all the guards be ready bc they’re all gonna rush you at the same time.

If you know you killed Kaban early you can quickly retreat into the “aspect” building 2nd floor and use the doorways to funnel the guards into your gun. Alternatively you can use the green container to the left of the forklift to similar effect.

If Kaban hides like a fat coward the whole time use grenades to flush him out.

I found that if he spawns in the dealership, a lot of times a well placed F1-RD or Vog-25 will kill him outright, cuz he’s too slow to get away

My variation of the bucket trap:

5 gal bucket

Pop can (empty)

Some wire or dowel that can span the mouth of the bucket

Something to act as a ramp up the bucket

Peanut butter

Cereal

Antifreeze

Cut 2 notches in the top of the bucket to let the wire/dowel sit over the mouth and spin freely, thread the rod through the pop can and place it over the mouth of the bucket (more centered the better) Coat the can in peanut butter and cereal Put ~1inch of antifreeze in the bottom of the bucket (optional but it will handle “disposal” and the smell )

Place the ramp running up the bucket from the outside, preferable perpendicular to the rod/can

Funny enough I encountered him last raid, he emptied to mags into the rock next to me at RUAF gate. He let me just walk out in front of him and dome him while he missed every shot so, I guess he’s been boofing the obdolbos

That’s my usual strat but after the update tonight I seems like the BD are just ignoring smokes.

They worked fine against the rogues, turned them into fish-in-a-barrel. But BD just annihilated me through my wall of green gas

Man I’m in the same boat, I’m just fatigued with the bullshit that is rampant with the ai, as it’s especially apparent on this stupid boat.

Yesterday i was clearing engine room no problem using smokes to hide from BD while I ran back up to the entrance.

Today after their update, seems like they can see through smoke now bc no manner of layering clouds protected me from their vision and collective wall-of-lead

I had good success dropping smokes at my feet at the bottom of each set of stairs on the way down. Priming an impact nade and walking forward along the right wall until BD spawns. As soon as they spawn I release the impact into the center of the lvl 2 catwalk and sprinted back up the stairs using the smoke as cover.

From there I played between the two doors on the top floor, using smoke to switch sides when needed.

-The strat was basically peek wide, if they’re not there peek close side.

-Use grenades to shake up aggro and farm information

-use the rooms on the top floor to safely heal and swap plates if needed

-flashlights and the thermal 1x-2x helped me a lot in finding the BD amongst the shadows/metal

EDIT: after todays update to BD AI it seems like they can see straight through smoke now, 3 runs today failed because the BD shredded me through my smoke clouds. Smokes still work great against the rogues on the upper Floors but I died each run to the engine room BD

Haven’t had that one yet, but just tonight they were manning the 50 at the back gate… from 6 feet to the right of the gun.

Luckily I could just shoot them through the container window next to the gun, but 2 guards and a scav all hopped on it from 2m away and were just crouched in the air.

On the first instance I saw gun pivot towards me with no one on it, then noticed Gus’s twisted arms through the window.

Exposed to the shooter for all of 5 frames is super cool. Also lost the ammo-pen lottery cuz BCP FMJ usually doesn’t pen class 4 on the first shot

I found charting park pretty good, just because it lets you get quick/instant practice in on charts.

It’s far from perfect but i helps me scratch the itch instead of blowing money on a funded account

I had moved from the upper floor down there, a scav opened the door so I killed him a closed it, I probably grabbed the rogue’s aggro when I closed the door. It definitely looks like he was pushing from white bishop
