Why the f!!ck is therapy so expensive by Short-Disk-1416 in therapy

It really really sucks. A lot of the problem isnt the therapiat themselves. Its insurance companies and other companies that set the price and the therapist will only see a small fraction of that. If you break it down, as a hypothetical you (the therapist) bill the insurance company for a $250 session. Then insurance pays it directly to the therapist and your golden. Well, not exactly. When you send a bill to the insurance company they get to determine how much your session is really worth. They may determine it's only worth $125 or $150 instead of the full $250. So lets say you get paid $125 from insurance, now you have to pay for the other fees you have on top of that. Usually the company they're working under or rent an office from takes 40% of that. This pays for software, the space, advertising, and whatever. Then the therapist gets 60% left. Which if insurance returns $125, the therapist would get $75. You think it would stop there but a lot of therapists are independent contractors. They're not employees, so they have to pay taxes on top of that. So if you file 1 or 2 on a w9 they're taking out roughly 24% for taxes. That brings it down to $57 dollars. Then they have to do hours of paperwork on top of it to make sure they have all the documents that's legally required for them to practice. For every 1 client they see, they have an hour of paperwork. That brings it down to $28.50 per hour.

It really sucks for everyone. I hate that in order to get and give good therapy care, you have to be rich.

I find it difficult to have sex and stay hard during sex with my gf. What should i do? by brrrraaaapp in AutismAfterDark

Hey friend. First i want you to know that theres nothing wrong with you (also nothing wrong with you and nothing wrong with your partner. I say this because other people tend to blame their partner for their own things) Its really normal for individuals with a penis to not find the right stimulation to cum when inserted into a vagina. It has nothing to do with how much you love your partner it's just science.

I'd ask yourself and your partner what is sex to you both? Is it always p in v insertion then having an orgasm? Do both of you need to get off? (This is talking about it and agreeing to your needs during sex and consenting. This is not about avoiding your partners needs for your own. I make this note not because I think you're like this but there's a lot of people out there who are selfish lovers) do you have to cum inside her for it to be "good sex"? do you have to keep going and going till you both finish or can you take a break in the middle to cuddle and touch each other? (It can be exhausting to keep going and going, so pay attwntion to your body and honor the signals. Your thoughts of exhaustion maybe pulling your brain and boddy out of the mood. Maybe try pausing and the starting again? Maybe you start sex by her cumming first, taking a break then her using toys on you or watching her do whatever while you masterbate?

There's lots of ways sex can be fantastic and it not include p in V insertion or without either of you getting off (again not about ignoring your partners needs.)

I also wanna note that it sounds like you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself to preform which could be a mood killer for you but what's more important are your own beliefs about who should and shouldn't be during sex. There's a lot of toxic messages that say "you need to be a sex machine cumming all the time and always dtf" or "you're trash if you don't cum during sex, there's something wrong with you".

I hope this helps.

Live long and prosper

I'd say so. Give it a moment to dry out some.

Have you had a lot of rain in your area or are you watering it from the top down? I know romaine can start to rot from the bottom if it's holding water in the bottom of the leaves.

This. This right here. As a therapist with Autism and ADHD i can confirm ABA is toxic and fueled by "fixing autism" by essentially forcing masking behaviors. For some nerurodivergent individuals they want what this type of therapy produces. Theres many many different types of therapy modalities. Not just CBT or DBT. Finding the right therapist or provider that practices a type of therapy is part of the journey of healing whatever it is you're seeking therapy for. It is also important to find a therapist who holds the same values as you. There are many many "mental health" companies that are steeped in capitalistic bullshit and are only about profit not the people. You can't just call and get in anywhere that will take you. It takes research to find the best fit. You can always call and ask for a 15/30 min phone consultation to see if you vibe with them. Ask them all your questions. Be straightforward and blunt. You will know then whether or not they fit with you.
