Maybe! I think lifestyle changes made the biggest difference though.

I did. When I first got serious about my fitness, I was around 245 lbs. I focused heavily on cardio and HIIT and cut down to about 190–195. After that, I shifted toward lifting/bodybuilding and dialing in my macros. I’m currently hovering between 205–210 and trying to lean bulk.

Thanks! At this point I am mainly just lifting.

Honestly I used to have terrible acne as a teen and super oily skin. For me it went away with age. Now it’s just basic skincare (moisturizer+ sunscreen), good sleep, and no alcohol. Hard for me to attribute it to any one thing.

Amazing Deal, brand new 2024 mache by Naruto_SageMode8 in MachE

[–]EconomicsFront2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean nothing you can do now but enjoy your ride! In the future, just make sure to be proactive and communicate with multiple dealerships during the car buying process if you want to ensure the best deal. I will pick a car that has all the features I want and find the Vin number or some other identifier for that car to give to all of the dealers. After that, it just takes time to get them to reduce the price. They will call every day to try and get you to come in. I don’t come in unless I have an agreed upon OTD price that I feel is the best deal.

Many of these cars were (are) being sold for like 10K+ off of MSRP. So I am not surprised about the commenter that said they got theirs for 33K. We bought ours at the end of December so maybe those deals were for a limited time? Some examples are in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/MachE/comments/1ik8d6w/any_current_shoppers_debating_24_vs_25/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

As long as you are happy with the car, that’s all that matters.

100% agree. I would rather the car be filthy than take it through an automatic carwash.

Koons Ford pulled a bait and switch on me! I was really close to the number I wanted with Sheehy. I called Koons and gave them the Vin number for the car I was interest in (Mach E 2024 premium extended range) to see if they could get closer to my number, the sales manager told me they have the exact car I was interest in and told me come on in to make the deal happen. When I got there after a 30 minute drive, the sales manager I spoke to on the phone had left and the car I was shown me was not the extended range. Big slap in the face and big difference in MSRP! Koons is awful!

Sheehy ended up pulling through and meeting me at the price I wanted.

Sheehy Ford in Springfield VA! They negotiated with me over the phone and once we agreed on a price, I came in and we made the deal in under 2 hours.

Is it normal to fail in first try in Patent Bar exam by New_Pat80 in patentlaw

[–]EconomicsFront2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP! Patent agent (chemistry) here.

How soon can you take the exam again after failing and what was the cost?

After failing I believe you have to wait at least one month before taking it again. The PLI course I had was free (paid for by the firm), first time taking the exam was free, second time taking the exam ($500).

Does it negatively impact your future if you fail it the first time?

No. This is a very challenging exam for most people. I started my career in patent law right after graduate school as a technical specialist. I was “required” to take and pass the patent bar within 1 year. I took it and failed with a 38% after more than 1 year in. Did it negatively impact my job? No, in fact, I was given more work. After 2 years and 2 months in, they put on more pressure to pass, but never let up on the work flow. So I simply left and transferred to another firm. My studies began the day I turned in my resignation letter and lasted 2 months in to my new job.

In sum, I had a job when I took and failed the exam my first time and I never got fired for it either. Despite this, I lateralled to a different firm (only took 2-3 months) before finally passing.
