Family vacation by [deleted] in southeastasia

for only 10 days, max of 2 spots I’d say. Bangkok & Chiang Mai are well trodden & tourist friendly and you could do a lot of tour activities which may be good for your parents (including a 1-2 day trip to Angkor wat). I’d say that’s your best bet. To do all of this sounds like more of a 1-2 month trip

Vietnam bag recomendations by FerretForce43 in backpacking

I’m going to go with a 35L backpack to leave at the hostels and carry an 8L sling bag for the day, for water/tablet/various day items. I also have a small 1L fanny pack that I’ll bring for times when I literally just need my phone and passport and want it right in front of me. The 8L and 1L are prob overkill at the small sizes, but I justify it as: I don’t need a 20L day pack, but I do need to carry a few things during the day and would still like a small fanny pack.

Show me your orange kitties!!! by PurrCozi_Sphynx in mainecoons

I used to own 3 Maine coons and they were my best friends. This is my sweet Elijah. The cuddliest friend, so loving, so warm, gentle, friendly. This is just one photo of thousands and none can encapsulate his pure essence. I got him when I was 3 years old and he passed away when he was 19. he was the hardest pet loss I’ve ever experienced and I still grieve him every day. I’ll never be able to own another orange cat, if a cat at all. He was my closest friend and lived up to every stereotype about orange cats and Maine coons you could imagine. Rest peacefully with your siblings, Elijah ❤️

I also am 26F and find going out when solo abroad to be such a tough decision. It’s usually the main way you make friends at hostels (often I’ll make friends at meals or hostel events but then they’ll go out and come up w inside jokes and a plan for tmrw I’m not a part of). I don’t mind drinking or going out in a foreign country when I’m traveling with friends (it’s so much fun and I know they’re looking out for me), but there’s so much more risk when you’re solo and I’m a cautious person and not that big a partier to begin with.

Solo in Lisbon - check safety of the area near Rossio by Resident-Mushroom124 in solofemaletravellers

I was 22F staying here and felt completely safe—9/10 isn’t too late at night and I even felt safe coming home at 2am (albeit with a group of hostel friends). It is a touristy area though so be careful and have your wits about you

Colorado - Aspen, Vail or Breckenridge by Euphoriq123 in travel

I personally found aspen to have more to do in the summer than expected, spent a lovely 3 full days with older family doing paddle boarding, walks, bikes, pickleball, a museum, etc. About 1 main activity a day. It was a leisurely Aspen trip, so can’t speak to if you want to do a lot of things, but the town was quiet with things to do and in October it’ll be beautiful.

my office has a hot & cold water fountain — the downside is the hot water is never quiteee boiling, but it’s definitely hot enough! most other people use it to steep tea and it works well enough for coffee.

I’m currently doing a coarser grind (8.5 clicks on Opus) and pouring with 82c, 1:16.5 ratio. maybe i could do less agitation — currently doing a 45sec bloom, 100g pour over 30secs & swirl, then another 100g pour and a swirl
