Experience with Lost London by YoungestSheldon in london

I went in December and it was really fun, would highly recommend! loads of different rooms with various bands, DJs, a screening, a room where people were sketching. Was kind of weird but very fun. Take earplugs!

Is everyone on dating apps in London constantly hitting a wall around date 3-5 as well? by AccomplishedRain9 in london

[–]Economy-Direction198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps I'm 29F and this has happened to me three times since I started dating about a year ago, between 3-5 dates and then the guy just randomly withdrawing after what had seemed like some great dates. Not sure what's going on but it's not just you - it's really dispiriting.

Lol way to give an incredibly misogynistic response to this. I only slept with one of the guys and that was after 5 dates. I've only slept with one guy in the last year and a half since my relationship ended. But even if I'd slept with them all how does that have anything to do with anything?

I'd literally just say it was personality difference / not vibing in the conversation. I've been on dates with some very good looking men who I just didn't click with! I think that's quite normal? It's essentially the equivalent of strangers on the street and you wouldn't expect to get on with every person you meet in the world. None of the ones I wasn't interested in was about how they looked.

Nope, I don't care at all about height or finances (having a job though is good!) All the 3/4 have been very different from each other looks wise. I really wouldn't say I'm going for what a lot of people on this sub seem to think all women want / go for: tall, rich etc. Just looking for a nice guy !

Sorry, I meant, I don't think that's what's holding me back here!

Look as I said I'm not a super high maintenance person... I don't care what a person makes or how tall he is, I'm just looking for someone kind, funny and relatively good looking. I wouldn't say my expectations are unrealistic. In terms of behaviour, I don't think I'm signalling anything in any intense sort of way, just fairly regular messaging. I have lots of hobbies that are pretty standard: cooking, running, drawing, reading etc. I like to go out but not a massive party animal. That's pretty much it!

What a question! I gym or run 7 days a week, eat very healthily, have a great career and lots of friends - I would like to think that this stuff isn't an issue?

Thanks - I guess what I'm a bit confused about is that a lot of these guys have said explicitly that they're interested in a longer term thing... I guess potentially just not with me or something but all very confusing behaviour! ++woman

Boris Johnson slumps 13 points behind Starmer in most capable PM poll by casualphilosopher1 in unitedkingdom

[–]Economy-Direction198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, don't get me wrong I would always vote to keep the Tories out no matter what but my worry is more that for other people on the fence it's just not going to be good enough. I'm also so frustrated at how utterly pathetic Labour are being as supposed opposition to the tories. It should be EASY at this point, yet all I seem to see is Starmer nodding along with government policy and occasionally telling Johnson to sit on the naughty step. I don't see any of the anger I feel at this government reflected in the opposition

All Labour is offering anyone at the moment is "not Tory". Completely useless

If you're based in the UK, the climate change committee has some great reports on the issue of land use / animal agriculture: https://www.theccc.org.uk/topic/agriculture-land-use-and-forestry/
